You can also Google or DDG for "depende" vs "depiende" and see that the first one has many more results.
The use of "depende en la ley y el orden" is also an incorrect literal translation from English, the correct preposition to use there is de in Spanish.
I would write them like this

I have my doubts about how well this meme will translate to a Latin American audience though. Corruption on the part of police and other authorities/officials is open and widely acknowledged in these countries, unlike in the US where most people are unaware of the true extent of the corruption.

Here's an idea for an op ed
would be a bit of work but would be very impactful
watch the attached video about how lockdown protests are gonna kill grandmas
but the riots are fine (dude literally says "these are peaceful protests" with a BUILDING ON FIRE behind him)
in the op ed / article the author should post sources for each bit of this footage, and maybe split up each event into a separate post here
the idea is to present the same info as in the video but with sources, dates, text content dissecting everything and making the hypocrisy even more clear

First with Judge Sullivan, now with this SDNY "attorney". We are seeing the Real State slowly take apart the Deep State's key strongholds, and each time, they fight back with everything they have, literally breaking every established precedent and law along the way.
They have to resort to these extreme measures to win a small delay while they try to come up with another plan. And the public sees it all.
The world is watching.
