BO needs to take a non active role, just banning the obvious shills and derailers. Any serious questions/decisions should be presented to us for a group discussion.
The decisions that sometimes have to be made aren’t easy, and are very easy to get wrong. Admittedly the BO should probably be able to identify legit Q via his writing style and prose but that’s for BO to work on.
Ban hammer might have been excessively used recently but if you’re doing actual research and not shit posting then it shouldn’t affect you. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter where we post so long as the collective group picks up important information and archives everything accordingly.
Well then the mods and BO need to sort their shit out and only issue bans for those who obviously need them. If they’re unsure on anyone else then simply present the case to the jury (us)
To be fair with the recently comped tripcode, I can see why BO might have thought the non-matching hash could have thrown up a red flag of a potential breach.
However BO acted incorrectly once the red flag appeared. He should have checked post to see if styling was that of Qs, and also the content of post.
Also should have made the situation fully clear to us so that Q could have re-verified before throwing a ban out.
Seems like BOs main problem is lack of communication to board, you can’t just act and then face the repercussions in these special circumstances. The autists will want an explanation for every action so it seems easier to just let them into the decision process before the decision is made.
