A BO can initiate PMs and the anon messaged can respond on the PM (even multiple times, up until the time it is automatically purged weekly). But as far as I know only BOs have the ability to initiate PMs. Tested it a bit as Vol and could not find any way to initiate a PM.

I CERTAINLY do. Saw everything that habbened. It was me that sent him the long-winded rebuke anonymously, then I closed the tab and never returned there. Suspected infiltration all along, just as you did. The behavior was just too, shall we say, intentional. Get a bunch of excellent collaborators, form a team, then continuously undercut the team and by association denigrate everyone affiliated with that team. I shared your suspicion all along.
