OSS I have spent all evening reading all these convos in the meta and here

and I tend to agree with this assesment

the only skin I have in any of this is the meme camo project

which doesnt have to be anywhere to exist

anons are on it

the buns were just getting big

so when someone suggested a thread, it made sense to me off top of head

interesting timing with the mega meme archive getting shoah'd

the meme camo project stuff got scraped by the … 'anons' running with that

re: qrmemes board, and it didnt seem nefarious in that context to me at least

but I see the off-board argument as well

I dont feel as strongly about it as you, but I also have not been here as long to see all the potential pitfalls, so I am defering to the judgment of those I feel have more experience on this one

the work is essentially complete at this point, we understand the framework of what needs to be done

the most important use case is an anon coming into /qr/ and complaining about meme censorship and that anon getting assistance from a camo artist

camo applied, censored meme re-inserted succesfully

that is the most important use case to me

we absolutely do not a place off /qr/ for this use case to be handled

imho we dont need a place off /qr/ to do the meme camo work either

I happen to think its interesting in its own right, even if you are not participating

having a separate thread does make it easier for those who are contributing to follow the thread of work progress, obviously

I dont think this thread needs a permanent place in the dough, either

in the best case scenario, much like 'how to make an effective meme'
