Post Attacks Against Q Here

Purpose: to document and refute attacks aimed at Q & Q

Focus: external attacks by influential anti-Q writers, speakers and politicians within the MSM, social media, corporations and government.

Almost since Q began posting in Oct 2017, Q opponents began cropping up, initially mainly within the MSM. At first, they treated Q as a silly larp who could be ridiculed and thus discredited. But instead, the movement grew. On 8-1-2018, the MSM declared war on Q, flooding media outlets all over the US with the fake story that Q was a dangerous, right-wing conspiracy that must be opposed at every turn.

On 9-12-2018, Reddit suddenly removed the very popular Great Awakening sub-reddit, leaving many Q supporters in the lurch. Q pointed the community to Voat and Qresearch as alternatives but the attacks continued - and escalated. After 8chan was deplatformed on 8-5-2019 after Cloudflare suddenly dropped its ddos protection, many anons came to think it was really because it's where Q posts. Since 8chan's return as 8kun on 11-2-2019, attacks have intensified. They continue to intensify as we head into the last stretch of the 2020 election - hence, this thread.

It's time to turn the tide

Not with guns but with information.

Please post

* anti-Q articles, tweets, and vids

* proposed anti-Q legislation

* fake claims about Q being a "domestic terrorist threat" by FBI or anyone else

* attacks against Q-saavy politicians

* any other efforts to censor Q-related free speech

QAnon is NOT a "domestic terror threat": Unraveling the tangled web of MSM lies

MSM continues to try to portray Q as a dangerous far-right organization and to spread the lie that QAnon had been officially designated by the FBI as a "domestic terror threat." Made easier by the FBI's usual cannot-confirm-or-deny stance, there's an abundance of evidence to say that it has NEVER designated Qanon as a domestic terrorist threat - most recently, from the House testimony of Chris Wray on 9-17-2020 (see NEW post below).

TIMELINE:

- On 4-27-19, Poway shooter emulates Christchurch shooter, also posting on 8chan's /pol/ thread. Fuels MSM's efforts to say 8chan radicalizes posters.

https://www.bellingcat.com/news/americas/2019/04/28/ignore-the-poway-synagogue-shooters-manifesto-pay-attention-to-8chans-pol-board/

- One result: FBI investigates 8chan, there are subsequent posts on this in /qr/ (see CAP 2)

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-06-16/watch-out-8chan-fbi-issued-search-warrant-anyone-who-commented-poway-synagogue

https://www.thedailybeast.com/poway-synagogue-shooting-8chan-served-search-warrant-for-alleged-shooters-posts-data-on-other-users

- FBI purportedly publishes an intel bulletin from Phoenix field office on 5-30-19 on domestic extremists, mentioning QAnon but not specifically designating it in any way. Jana Winter's posts an 8-1-19 Yahoo article on this previously unreported bulletin which mentions QAnon a lot, in an effort to link it (& POTUS) with domestic terrorism.

https://news.yahoo.com/fbi-documents-conspiracy-theories-terrorism-160000507.html

"Although the memo lists a number of such theories, including Pizzagate and the conspiracy surrounding the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, it pays particular notice to QAnon…"

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/fbi-declared-qanon-domestic-terrorism-181448533.html

(Notice btw the category: "entertainment")

- The Yahoo article embraces this idea with a vengeance, either stating that QAnon was designated as a domestic terror threat or implying it very strongly, e.g. :

  • Rolling Stone: "An internal FBI memoclassified QAnon and other conspiracy theories as a threat…"

https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-features/qanon-domestic-terrorism-threat-conspiracy-theory-866288/

  • Huffpo: "it was recently reported that the FBIhas classed QAnon as a domestic terror threat."

https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/what-is-qanon_uk_5d4c2cb1e4b09e72974283be?guccounter=1

  • Media Matters: "The QAnon conspiracy theory has been tied to acts of violence, used by anti-government groups, and was flagged as apotential domestic terror threatby the FBI."

https://www.mediamatters.org/twitter/fbi-calls-qanon-domestic-terror-threat-trump-has-amplified-qanon-supporters-twitter-more-20

  • NYT: "In its intelligence bulletin identifying QAnon as apotential domestic terror threat, the F.B.I….."

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/09/us/politics/qanon-trump-conspiracy-theory.html

(etc., etc.)

- MANY of these claims are published just after 8chan is deplatformed - and so cannot be countered by qresearch investigators. (''Coincidence??'')

- This claim is revived recently after MSM bugged POTUS about his opinion on QAnon and he refused to condemn it. This time, ''anons dig - and find evidence suggesting not only that QAnon had never been designated by the FBI as a domestic terror org (FBI cannot make this designation) but that the whole Yahoo story may have been a Yahoo in-house fabrication (something Praying Medic suspected all along).

(see all CAPS)

https://www.c-span.org/video/?c4907402/user-clip-fbi-director-christopher-wray-qanon-3-factor-test

- It's likely that the MSM will continue to toss out this FALSE CLAIM - which could be extremely damaging to POTUS. This is why it continues to be an extremely important and ongoin DIG which should probably remain as a global notable (so all anons are up on this fake news & new updates can be added as needed).

Note: In the initial Global note, an anon put forth the idea that a Soros-based organization, the Reiss Center, was behind the falsified FBI bulletin, but when i tracked down the sauce, found nothing (so far) that ties it to Kelly Reed Grant. If anons can find such a link, can be added back in. See >>10394582 in qresear.ch.

Wray's Remarks on Q in this Testimony Before Congress

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpRN47DkzOs [1:35min clip]

DIGG results and analysis

1. Wray's comments on Q were pretty nondescript, despite the questioner dem Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee's efforts to suggests that Qanon was somehow provoking violence, e.g.:

Jackson-Lee: So I'm interested in how Qanon activity has results in the arrest of persons planning to carry out violent acts based on the nonsense spouted in web forums and social media that forms the core of Qanon beliefs. How do you characterize that organization? [see his reply under #2]

https://www.c-span.org/video/?c4907402/user-clip-fbi-director-christopher-wray-qanon-3-factor-test

2. Compare Wray's comments on Q with those on Antifa:

Re QANON:

Asked how the FBI views QAnon, Wray said it was seen “as essentially less of an organization and more of a sort of a complex

set of conspiracy theories.”

“And certainly we have had cases where that properly predicate cases involving violence where people have been motivated by some of those conspiracy theories and …we don’t investigate the ideology or the conspiracy theory itself,” he said. “I don’t think we have seen lethal attacks involving that kind of motivation … no matter what ideology or belief it is of domestic violent extremism we look at three things: One, violence or a threat of violence; two, a federal crime, obviously; and then third the motivation that fuels it. We have to have those three things to open an investigation.”

Re ANTIFA:

“We look at Antifa as more of an ideology or a movement that an organization. To be clear, we do have quite a number of properly predicated domestic terrorism investigations into violent anarchist extremists, any number of whom self-identify with the Antifa movement.

https://www.hstoday.us/subject-matter-areas/counterterrorism/wray-explains-antifa-qanon-boogaloo-and-racially-motivated-violence-at-threats-hearing/

3. The parties that reported his fairly neutral remarks on Qanon were NOT mainstream media - they were apparently not interested in Wray's lack of concern re Qanon. Here are several other reports in addition to the two above (search term = "wray asked about qanon"):

https://www.rollcall.com/2020/09/17/fbi-director-describes-domestic-extremists-in-homeland-threats-hearing/

https://sociable.co/web/fbi-views-qanon-complex-conspiracy-theories-less-organization-dir-wray/

https://twitter.com/M2Madness/status/1306594542456512512

https://www.facebook.com/OccupyDemocrats/videos/2234206416725614/ [radical leftists - they threw in the q clip but were more interested in the idea that in the category of 'racially motivated violence,' white suprecists were the 'largest chunk')

__The top search results citing MSM articles had NOTHING to do with Wray's remarks - but instead focused on either irrelevant (but negative) stuff on Qanon or last years's Yahoo report that claimed the FBI saw Q as a domestic terrorist organization:

https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-features/qanon-domestic-terrorism-threat-conspiracy-theory-866288/

https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2020/09/18/facebook-twitter-turbulent-election/3484885001/

https://www.nbcnews.com/video/trump-discusses-the-qanon-conspiracy-theory-movement-90333765679

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2018/02/13/fbi-director-christopher-a-wrays-implicit-dig-at-president-trump/

4. Some of the excellent responses to M3thods tweet [see above] on Wray's remarks:

He [Wray] basically said they view Q as a complex set of conspiracy theories, but they don’t investigate the underlying theories.. they only investigate the people that have been motivated to take violent actions.

Anyone notice that MSM and the Dems always frame their questions and comments on Q with insults? "What are your thoughts on these ridiculous ideas and the morons that follow them?" And they talk about violence with no proof? Why so threatened?

“I don’t think we’ve seen lethal attacks involving that kind of [QAnon] motivation - Wray.”

BLM and Antifa have political power support. They focus on separation and destruction. Q focuses on informative information of bringing truths to the people. Waking people up to the facts of the matter. That include to the true evils that are behind protecting BLM & Antifa

So - where is the list of those who have been charged with violence, due to a "QAnon conspiracy" they believed and acted upon?

Twitter tightens account security for political candidates ahead of US election

Natasha Lomas

12:30 pm PDT•September 17, 2020

Twitter is taking steps to tighten account security for a range of users ahead of the US presidential election, including by requiring the use of strong passwords.

“We’re taking the additional step of proactively implementing account security measures for a designated group of high-profile, election-related Twitter accounts in the US. Starting today, these accounts will be informed via an in-app notification from Twitter of some of the initial account security measures we will be requiring or strongly recommending going forward,” it said in a blog post announcing the pre-emptive step.

Last month Twitter said it would be dialling up efforts to combat misinformation and election interference, as well as pledging to help get out the vote — going on to out an election hub to help voters navigate the 2020 poll earlier this week.

Its latest election-focused security move follows an embarrassing account hack incident in July which saw scores of verified users’ accounts accessed and used to tweet out a cryptocurrency scam.

Clearly, Twitter won’t want a politically-flavored repeat of that.

Twitter said accounts that will be required to take steps to tighten their security are:

  • US Executive Branch and Congress

  • US Governors and Secretaries of State

  • Presidential campaigns, political parties and candidates with Twitter Election Labels running for US House, US Senate, or Governor

  • Major US news outlets and political journalists

As well as requiring users in these categories to have a strong password — prompting those without one to update it next time they log in — Twitter said it will also enable Password reset protection for the accounts by default.

“This is a setting that helps prevent unauthorized password changes by requiring an account to confirm its email address or phone number to initiate a password reset,” it noted.

It will also encourage the target types of users to enable Two-factor authentication (2FA) as a further measure to bolster against unauthorized logins. Although it will not be requiring 2FA be switched on.

The platform also said it would be implementing extra layers of what it called “proactive internal security safeguards” for the aforementioned accounts, including:

  • More sophisticated detections and alerts to help us, and account holders, respond rapidly to suspicious activity

  • Increased login defenses to prevent malicious account takeover attempts

  • Expedited account recovery support to ensure account security issues are resolved quickly

Also today, Twitter released more detail about how its platform manipulation and spam policies apply to groups seeking to coordinate to cause harm, giving the example of the conspiracy group QAnon. It began a crack down on the conspiracy group in July, when it banned thousands of accounts that had been spreading baseless BS which Twitter said had “the potential to lead to offline harm”.–

Next: summary of a year and a half dig into anti-Q articles (plus some vid) by MSM.

Oct 2017 - July 2, 2020

First posted in Jan 2020.

This is the last report of its kind due to the prohibitive amt of time it takes to collect the info - the last report took 3 weeks of full-time work. When it became obvious that Q articles were going to explode in July, I decided that we already had the key info we needed:

  1. WHO was writing smack about Q

  2. which PUBS were pushing the narrative

  3. how the anti-Q campaign evolved from Oct 2017 to the present.

But there is another data subset that could be collected using data from the nine most active pubs among anti-Q pubs, this anon just doesn't have enough time to do it although i would if i could.

MSM Articles on Q and 8chan: ~2000 articles as of July 2 2020

FINAL REPORT

__ROOTS of the "MSM on Q" Project___

In the fall of 2018, this anon started digging on what had been written about Q by the MSM. Found some posts in qresear.ch, but nothing systematic. In Jan 2019, posted the first of 12 reports detailing articles on Q: what was said, who was saying it, and which publications were most active. That first report detailed over 300 articles where Q was the main focus (not just mentioned in passing). Now there are 2000 in the database and many more not documented here, because I limited the search to English articles published either in the US, Canada or England. In the beginning, I seldom ran across foreign language articles. This dramatically changed after the ChristChurch mass shooting in March 2019. Now there are articles on Q from all over the globe in many different languages. As with American MSM pubs, these were - and are - full of derogatory claims, mostly unsubstantiated. During the first half of 2018, the aim was to write Q off as a larp. But on Aug 1 2018, the forces behind the MSM launched a nationwide war against Q, trying to create the impression of Q and those of follow Q as right-wing white supremicists capable of violent acts. After Christchurch, they tried to link Q with 8chan, despite the fact that shooters who posted manifestos on 8chan never posted on /qresearch.

When Q generated a long MSM list Q #2018 (Feb 2019), I used that as a guide, but also added Right Wing Watch and Media Matters. There are some MSM videos included, since that's the format favored by the Big Three networks: ABC, NBC and CBS. But only a few tweets, because the object was to track (supposedly) substantive material. Did include as an add-on one extremely important twitter thread by Praying Medic, where he tore apart the highly specious but widely cited claim by Yahoo Fake News in late July 2019 that one FBI branch had designated Q group as domestic terrorists (search on "praying medic" to find it in the article PDF's).

This is the LAST REPORT re MSM articles on Q

This is a good stopping point for several reasons. First, the number of articles continues to grow, making the project increasingy unwieldy for a single anon w/no staff. Second, the technical limits of MS-Word are almost exceeded; the file is becoming highly unstable. Third - and most importantly - the three original goals have now been achieved. Anons now know a lot more about who is writing, what they're saying, and which pubs who are pushing the MSM narrative the hardest (Wapo is the obvious leader with 150 articles; see below). We also know their tactics and how they have changed over time. But the most important thing we know is this: although they have been engaged in major league mudslinging since the very start, very little of it has stuck. Q is more popular now than ever, while the MSM's reputation continues to slide into oblivion. This anon will continue to track key MSM trends. Just won't be generating this kind of raw data.

TRENDS April-June 2020

From Jan to March 2020, the MSM articles on Q were pretty ''scatter-shot. By mid-March, the MSM started pushing fear porn very hard as part of their effort to unseat the current President. In April and May, they pushed Covid-19 to an extreme and derided Q's pushback on that narrative by characterizing Q followers as nut jobs bent on endangering the public by providing "misinfo" on the virus and related topics (vaxxing, HCQ, masks, projected cases/deaths). Of course, the exact opposite is true: it's the MSM that's been ruthlessly hyping Covid-19 ''disinfo.

Since George Floyd's death in late May, the press has pushed the fake boogaloo narrative in an effort to show that the violent activity during "protests" was from the right, not the left. Favorite tactic: juxtaposing Q and boogaloo hoping readers will think they are associated. Once the election primaries picked up in May, they tried to blackball any Q-endorsing candidate. In the past, they were able to get people fired simply by doxxing them as Q followers. This time around, several MSM targets won their primaries despite tons of negative PR.

MSM Articles on Q and 8chan thru July 3 2020

NINE PHASES OF MSM COVERAGE ON Q (see Article Timeline CAP for more)

Phase

1 Q unknown to MSM: But they wonder if it has to do with "the calm before the storm" (Oct-Dec 2017)

2 Q is a LARP: MSM mocks Q, tries to make the idea sound silly (Jan-July 2018)

3 Q denounced: Mass attack launched Aug 1 2018; they try to say Q movement is dangerous w/weak evidence (Aug-Sept 2019)

4 Q assoc/w 8chan & attacked: MSM tries to associate Q/w fake bomber/synagogue shooter; also, fake science deployed to debunk Q (Oct-Feb 2019)

5 MSM frontal assault on both 8chan/Q: Each used to discredit the other after Christchurch & other shootings & attacks by Fredrick Brennan (March-July 2019)

6 8CHAN deplatformed on Aug 5 2019: Cloudflare ddos protection withdrawn, Jim Watkins subpoena'ed by House Dems (Aug-Oct 2019)

7 8CHAN replatformed as 8KUN on Nov 2: Focus shifts back to Q; attacks continue but it's routine stuff (Nov-Feb 2020)

8 Covid-19: MSM deep into Covid fear porn; says Qs put out misinfo/disinfo. After Floyd's death, tries to link Q's w/"Boogaloo Boys"(Mar-May 2020)

9 2020 Election: Q candidates for office panned by MSM but some win anyways - Q gets better, MSM gets worse (June-July 2020)

FUTURE Directions

As long as the traditional MSM remains dominant, most of the articles on Q will be negative. But a few cracks are starting to appear. So we may begin to see a turning of the tide soon - depending upon the timing of many unknown factors. Look forward to the day when we can compare positive w/ negative tallies.

Have you ever witnessed a full-blown international mainstream media constant [barrage] [counter]attack re: a 'conspiracy'?

Simple logic answers the question.

Nancy Pelosi wonders how top Facebook employees can 'look themselves in the mirror' because they 'make money off of poison'

Sept 21 2020

In the interview, Swisher brought up QAnon, the far-right conspiracy-theory movement popular among some of President Donald Trump's supporters that claims a group of society's elite, including leaders in the Democratic party, are conspiring to commit a variety of heinous crimes such as child sex trafficking.

While QAnon is said to have originated on the anonymous online message board 4chan, in recent months the posts have become more widespread on mainstream social-media sites like Twitter and Facebook. Both companies have announced plans to crack down on QAnon accounts.

The QAnon phenomenon as a symptom

In the era of transparency, in which any conjecture can be dismantled in five minutes, the logical thing would be for a theory as far-fetched as QAnon’s to starve to death shortly after being launched, or at best to live in minority sinks of eccentric antisystems. . But the logic of the Internet leads just the opposite. That the most unusual of conspiracy theories can spread and cross borders to reach millions of followers in a short time. And also in a short time to be in a position to influence something as decisive as the next elections may be …

QAnon Goes to Washington Twenty-four followers of the grotesque

conspiracy theory are running for Congress in November.

Where does this end?

By Simon van Zuylen-Wood

POLITICS 7:00 A.M.

Late 2017. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the 43-year-old founder of a CrossFit gym in a wealthy Atlanta suburb, hops onto Facebook Live, where she will discuss Moloch, the pagan idol of child sacrifice. Greene is wearing a black top, her blonde hair down. Filming before a blank wall, she looks tired but happy, in her element. “Okay, now,” she says in a pleasant drawl, “have you guys been following 4chan, Q, any of that stuff? Anybody? I’m going to watch for your comments here.” The anonymous persona Q, purportedly a government mole, had begun posting on the right-wing message board 4chan in late October, about a month before Greene’s livestream. Q’s posts formed the nucleus of a collective belief system that became known as QAnon, whose premise was this: Hollywood and the U.S. government were teeming with pedophiles and demon worshippers, whom Donald Trump was trying to bring to justice with the help of unlikely allies such as Special Counsel Robert Mueller, whose investigation of the president was, in fact, a false-flag operation. To anyone who found this idea implausible, Q had posed a question: Why would a famous billionaire give up his charmed life to run for president? Was it, perhaps, because “he could not stomach the thought of mass murders occurring to satisfy Moloch?”

In her livestream, Greene vouches for Q. “He’s posted many things that seem to verify that he is the real deal,” she says. “It’s not just someone poking in the dark, messing with people.” She cites a suspect 2009 email, published by WikiLeaks, in which a State Department official expressed hope that a U.S.-brokered peace accord in Honduras was close to fruition. The official wrote, “With fingers crossed, the old rabbit’s foot out of the box in the attic, I will be sacrificing a chicken in the backyard to Moloch.” His email was forwarded to Hillary Clinton, then secretary of State. “If that’s not evidence that there’s Satan worship in our government,” Greene asks, “and if Hillary Clinton was not involved in it, then why would someone, someone that is involved in worshipping Satan, why would they tell Hillary that in an email? I mean, if someone told me that in an email, I would freak out.” She cites another WikiLeaks email, from 2015, in which the artist Marina Abramovic invited Clinton’s chief of staff, John Podesta, to a “Spirit Cooking Dinner.” (Podesta did not attend.)

Greene looks revved up, if unsurprised, by the allegations. As a contributor to a now-defunct website called American Truth Seekers, she had already raised questions about demonic behavior in the ranks of the elite, citing Georgetown hostess Sally Quinn’s habit of “hexing” her enemies, the Clintons’ presence at a voodoo ceremony during a 1975 trip to Haiti, alleged child sex abuse by a former mayor of Seattle, the Anthony Weiner scandal, and Jeffrey Epstein’s flight logs. “There’s so much that goes on in our American culture that keeps us distracted,” she says. “So many Americans are blind, and when they hear these stories about pedophiles and they hear these stories about satanic worship, they don’t want to believe it’s true.”

Or … maybe they do. In August, Greene won the primary election in Georgia’s staunchly Republican 14th Congressional District, all but guaranteeing her a victory in November and a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives (when her Democratic opponent dropped out earlier this month, it made victory even more certain). You’d like to think it’s a fluke that a well-off mother of three with no political experience discovered a weird-ass message board, got engrossed in a lurid conspiracy theory, beat out eight rivals for a congressional seat, and became a far-right folk hero. But 81 so-called QAnon candidates ran for the Senate or the House this year, according to a master list maintained by Alex Kaplan of the liberal site Media Matters. With primary season over and a bunch of candidates culled, the list is now finalized: There will be 24 QAnon candidates on the federal ballot in November — 22 of them Republicans and two Democrats. And while Greene is by far the most prominent of them, and the likeliest to win, she looks less like an outlier than like the vanguard of a new faction in American politics, heralding an even worse partisan epistemological muddle than the one the country has become distressingly accustomed to over the past decade. As any Q disciple can tell you, there’s no such thing as a fluke.
