>Dealing with notes as news cycle gets busier - this is what i'd like to talk more about and gather ideas on today.
Question. Bakers' thoughts on repeating notables? I could trim my notes a lot if I excluded things I've seen before.
if i'm in a hurry (always!) it's faster to just grab the latest article even though the topic has had a lot of coverage before
and if people don't like it they can yell at me but so far there hasn't been much yelling about muh notables
They do tend to get very long.
Yeah dont tell anybody, kek. Maybe i'll change it again, idk.
>high cognitive load
Was on high cognitive load on my last chan role. Baker job is def high cognitive load. Speed reading plus snap judgment under time- and shill- pressure. It's amazing how often bakers do get it right under these circumstances. Make them all bake, then they will develop some sympathy for how difficult it is! just kidding, i would never trust a newfag, shill, or low IQ to bake
My point is, I agree with you, many anons have no idea what the bakers do. How many times have we heard, it's just copypasta, easy peasy.
I did a few bakes in the 5000s and that's when realized what's involved and developed major compassion for bakers.
Fully agree.
>Want your post to be notabled? Here's how:
✓ 1. Use bold or red text to summarize the main point at top
✓ 1. For articles/twats: list article title not just the link (and not in ALL CAPS)
✓3. For anon charts & analyses: Provide a short description of your MAIN POINT
<an abstract
<or executive summary
<like you would do in putting a Subject on an email to your bosses boss. To get their attention and let them know why it's important enough to read. In a few words. It's an art. Like the editor's role creating concise hard-hitting accurate headlines.
✓4. For vids: provide enough info that baker (date, title/descriptive, half a dozen main points)
<Don't make the baker have to click the video to find out what it is. Almost no baker has time to do this, ever. At MINIMUM, copypasta the descriptive text that's on the vid itself.
✓5. For notable noms: package the notable using a short description/title
<and if you sense it might be controversial, might be helpful to state in a few words why you think it's relevant or important
badguy methinks.
I will not quickly forgive for attempts he/they/whoever made to smear other patriots with his/their own stink.
I'm open minded and forgiving, but that's currently my view.
Takes a long time to build trust, but trust can be shattered in an instant.
Yeah. Sometimes the news isn't just the "news", it's "who's covering this news", to draw importance to it.
agree
if i change it again, i'll say something like 'the baker formerly known as anon' so you'll know it's me. IDK.
