Freddy has a really good coding example, I will try to find it. I think it was posted a couple breads back.
Essentially an administrator can be hard coded to display any tripcode, including Q's, when posting. As well it can be hard coded that any password which generates Q's tripcode would not be able to post with it.

agreed, this is my thinking as well until someone comes up with a better reason. I also like to think Q posted on hivemind with a trip, once, so that they could point to two very relevant posts on QR, and no one else could pretend to be the same poster afterwards.
This makes sense too, being it was the last of the Q posts. Q made the tripped post on HM so that they could give some directions to us, as well as buy time before anyone could hard code a bypass with that new trip. In case comms came in trying to pollute the message with fake Q posts.

I think it is due to the way the internet works in terms of popularity / influencers / deplatforming. Much of the babyfist infamy came out after Q had not posted for 7 or 8 months. Interest in Q was way down generally. Those reporting on the babyfist larpwood saga and the B post, were posting videos channels where they had to change platforms. So they only got a few thousand views.
