The moves reflected easing tensions between the U.S. company and the Australian government, a day after the country’s parliament passed a law forcing it and Alphabet Inc’s Google to pay local media companies for using content on their platforms.

The new law makes Australia the first nation where a government arbitrator can set the price Facebook and Google pay domestic media to show their content if private negotiations fail. Canada and other countries have shown interest in replicating Australia’s reforms.

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador told the United States not to meddle in domestic energy policy on Friday, ahead of a meeting between his government and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

The online meetings, dubbed a “virtual visit” by Washington, will touch on Lopez Obrador’s energy strategy in the context of climate change, along with trade and security, as the government of U.S. President Joe Biden broadens its predecessor’s single focus on migration between the neighbors.

Lopez Obrador, an energy nationalist who has sought to renegotiate electricity and pipeline contracts with U.S. and Canadian companies, faced little pressure from former U.S. President Donald Trump over his policies.

Mexico relies heavily on fuel imported from the United States. A new bill in Congress that aims to reshape Mexico’s electricity industry to favor state utility CFE has caused alarm among lobbies for private investment.

In seeking to use more domestic fuel, Lopez Obrador has also limited the growth of foreign renewable energy operators in a move critics say affects Mexico’s climate emission obligations.

Memes and all content you create will be tracked. Will Woke

Microsoft, Intel, and Adobe are teaming up to destroy online privacy by tracking every single piece of digital content you create

The software giant has teamed with several other companies, including Intel and Adobe, to form the "Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity," or C2PA

What this jargon means is software and hardware that will trace every picture, document, photoshop, meme, post, or audio file back to its original source device, effectively tracing it back to its owner.

Pause and think about this for a moment. Say that you write a Word document criticizing LGBT gender theory or Critical Race Theory. If such a thing becomes a crime, law enforcement would be able to access the digital footprint of said file as created by this C2PA initiative, to track it back to the computer it was written on.

More than that, they'd have another copy of said footprint that would be provided by Intel, which makes the lion's share of the CPU chips around the world. Even if your computer was offline, said CPU could theoretically track every keystroke, every file you open, and every unauthorized meme, storing all that information so it could be digitally traced back to the device you used. Even if you never connected to the internet and stored all your files on a flash drive to upload them on another machine, they could still track where it came from.

Do you use Word or Excel? Do you use Photoshop or InDesign? Welp, better hope you don't create anything that offends the Woke, or it's off to the gulag for you, pal!

There's a reason Breitbart called this plan "Big Tech's most dangerous plan yet."

Boy how far we've come from Microsoft's days of cheering on developers.

Let's turn to C2PA's predecessor for a bit more context. Said predecessor was an initiative called Project Origin that was heavily supported by media outlets like the New York Times and the BBC (which are threatened by outlets that oppose their narratives).

Stopping "misinformation" (read: wrong-think) was the goal of said project:

We've temporarily limited some of your account features

These days, this is not much of an event but… it finally happened to us here at Blacklisted News. We have been put in Twitter time out for being a bad user. We may be back, but it's not trending in a good direction at the moment.

The only thing shocking about this, is that it did not happen sooner.

This event spurred me to pen some personal thoughts on Social Media itself and the peoples fight against the silicon valley controllers.

Unlike many that have been banned from one social media platform or the other, we are not going to ask you to boycott Twitter. We will continue to use the social media platform to distribute Blacklisted News as long as they allow it. When we are permanently banned for some random post, deemed to dangerous for their users, it is time to say goodbye. When enough people say goodbye for one reason or another, the Twitters of the world vanish. Think it can't happen? Perhaps you are too young to remember AOL chat rooms or MySpace.

Mark Meadows says Trump is ‘planning for the next administration’

https://nypost.com/2021/02/26/mark-meadows-says-trump-planning-for-the-next-administration/

Former President Donald Trump is working on how his “America First” agenda will move forward, his former chief of staff revealed, adding that they are “planning for the next administration.”

Speaking to Fox News‘ “Hannity” Thursday evening, former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows made the remarks after being asked about the ex-president’s big return to the national stage this weekend at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

“Well you’re going to see a speech on Sunday that talks about not only the beginning, but what the future may look like, and I’m excited about it,” the former House Freedom Caucus chairman told the network.

“I spoke to President Trump last night for a fairly lengthy conversation where [we] we’re talking about America, where it needs to go, continuing the America first agenda,” Meadows continued, “But more importantly than that, how this President — Biden — has undermined that particular policy within days. And we see it.”

“I may not have Twitter or the Oval Office, but I’m still in charge,” will be Trump’s message to the group.

Speaking to Axios, senior Trump adviser Jason Miller said the former president plans to remain a force in the Republican party.

“Trump effectively is the Republican Party. The only chasm is between Beltway insiders and grassroots Republicans around the country. When you attack President Trump, you’re attacking the Republican grassroots,” he said.

Trump is also expected take aim at the 10 House Republicans who voted to convict him in his impeachment trial and the seven GOP Senators who voted with Democrats to convict him.

A poll released over the weekend shows that 46 percent of Republican voters said they would leave the party if Trump decides to create his own.
