The U.S. Military Sent a Little Message on the Bomb They Delivered to Terrorists in Afghanistan

The U.S. military carried out a pre-emptive strike against an incoming suicide bomb attempt on Sunday. The reported suicide bomb attempt came less than 24 hours after President Biden issued a statement that such an attack was expected.

"A U.S. airstrike Sunday targeted a vehicle carrying ‘multiple suicide bombers’ from Afghanistan’s Islamic State affiliate before they could target the ongoing American military evacuation at Kabul’s international airport, ” the AP reported.

"There were few initial details about the incident, as well as a rocket that struck a neighborhood just northwest of the airport, killing a child,” the report continued. “The two strikes initially appeared to be separate incidents, though information on both remained scarce.”

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid earlier said in a message to journalists that “the U.S. strike targeted a suicide bomber as he drove a vehicle loaded with explosives,” the AP added.

"Two American military officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss military operations, called the airstrike successful,” the report added. “They said the strike caused ‘significant secondary explosions’indicating the presence of a substantial amount of explosive material in the vehicle.”

Multiple military sources report that the service members left a message for the terrorists on the bomb they would later drop.

The message is a simple but effective one: “RIP” and the last names of the 13 service members who were killed in Afghanistan on Thursday. It adds the military branches: “USMC, USN, USA.”

Below it says: “We will remember: 8/26/2021.”

Marines Stand Up for Lt. Col. Scheller's Call for 'Accountability'

The Marine relieved of his command for using a Facebook video to call for accountability from leadership after the deaths of 13 U.S. service members in the suicide bombing is not backing down.

Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller, a 17-year veteran just three years from full pension, is also garnering some support from fellow Marines for his "real courage" for speaking out, the New York Post reported.

"The baby boomer's turn is over," Scheller, 41, told the Post, saying "every generation needs a revolution." "I demand accountability, at all levels. If we don't get it, I'm bringing it."

Marines who served under Scheller stood behind him.

"It takes real courage to do what he did and that was Stu all the way," Juan Chavez, 33, who served under Scheller 2011-2014, told the Post. "He was a magnificent leader, a breath of fresh air, who was always going to do what's right, even if it goes against the grain."

Scheller's father, Stuart Sr., called his son "the real deal, a Marine's Marine."

"People will follow him to the ends of the earth," Stuart Scheller Sr. told the Post. "He has put his life on the line for fellow Marines, so putting his career on the line like this does not surprise us."

Scheller Jr. was praised for his four-minute, 45-second Facebook video calling for accountability from leadership for the 13 dead U.S. service members and at least 169 Afghans civilians, but he was also warned to take it down from people standing behind him.

"Obviously, I didn't take it down," Scheller wrote in a later Facebook post. "I'll offer this . . . we can't ALL be wrong. If you all agree . . . then step up. They only have the power because we allow it. What if we all demanded accountability?"

Scheller called out Marine Corps Commandant Gen. David H. Berger, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, and White House Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley.

"People are upset because their senior leaders let them down, and none of them are raising their hands and accepting accountability or saying, 'We messed this up,'" he said….

Marine fired for criticizing military leaders resigns, says chasing stability makes ‘slave to the system’

The U.S. Marine relieved of his command for calling out his superiors over the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal that led to the deaths of 13 service members said Sunday he was officially resigning.

In a tell-all video posted on social media, Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller acknowledged he was sacrificing a comfortable retirement by criticizing the way the withdrawal was handled.

"I could stay in the Marine Corps for another three years, but I don’t think that’s the path I’m on. I’m resigning my commission as a United States Marine, effective now," Scheller said. "I am forfeiting retirements, all entitlements, I don’t want a single dollar. I don’t want any money from the VA. I don’t want any VA benefits [even though] I’m sure I’m entitled 100%." …

Those are the people that I need," Scheller said. "Follow me and we will bring the whole f***ing system down. I am honorable and you can ask any Marine who served with me for 17 years. I dare you to ask them all and find.out what I’m made of. We’re just getting started."
