I'm glad that it's over, it had become more and more unusable over time. It was even better during 2016 than it is now. It has been a long time coming, they kept fucking things up and adding layers and layers of bullshit to the site. A lot of the site traffic wasn't genuine either.
To me, 4chan became an embarrassing battleground for information warfare assets. It's sad that governments are so insecure that they feel they need to control or influence unfiltered online discussions.
It's a testament to the fact that they are no better equipped than we are to move into the future. It's humiliating that they thought it was necessary.
