Does this board have any rules other than the global rule? 4cuck's /pol/ is not supposed to allow porn, but it did. At one point the porn spam on the political boards here was just atrocious.

Nobody is suggesting nuking the board. It is bad form on any message board to have old and new threads mingling in a catalog together. The point is usability. You or anybody can archive anything here.
Similar efforts will have to be put in for other boards if they're ever to be used again. I'm not the only one who would rather use 8kun than 4chan. The alternative is of course to simply create new boards, but it seems more prudent to me to use the existing boards.
I'm not interested in joining any mod team in any capacity. I'm just here to talk about it. You should understand that the recent influx of posters just came from a site which was continually flooded with bots and duplicate threads. I think OP elaborated on what he meant by bait.

I'm one of few people who has kept visiting this place over the years to see what's going on, but almost nobody posts here. Most of the boards that I or others would use in lieu of 4cuck have not been used at all in years and have nobody maintaining them.
I see your point, but I would almost more agree with namefag here. There is too much of too great a value here to simply wipe it away. If we're going to take an approach like that, we need to look through it and archive and download. There are several boards here for that purpose already. Archiving is a huge part of this place's purpose, and it would be counterintuitive to wipe it clean.

This is the one point where I agree with you. I don't like to look at gore, and I don't post it, but wartime videos should be available for documentation and discussion here in my opinion.
We can sit here and hash out the details of how we want the one guy actually willing to prune the board to do it, but neither of us are offering to do it. OP indicated he intends to take a lighthanded approach and would be receptive to criticism.

That's a very good question. I think in 2025 the only real solution is AI jannies. Thankfully we're not dealing with that at the moment.

Well, as I mentioned before, I sure appreciate it. If 8kun gets off the ground again it will most likely begin here.
It looks like /pol/ is getting enough traffic that it will clean itself up in due time. If it keeps up, the spam will follow, and the board will need somebody to take care of that.

After reading through them both, I don't think I would want either OP to be the board owner. I think the OP of this thread was correct in that the anons on this board have some kind of discussion about what posts should or should not be tolerated. Perhaps that would be a better starting point.
