I volunteer to be the newest BO. My credentials are thusly: I originally came to Infinity during GG, and I ran five boards back in 2015-2019. Two of them were political, one of them was a random board, and two were about about magic, mysticism, rituals and religion. On these original boards, I would put up board links which circulated to other related boards that had a very open-ended approach to the discussion and moderation of relevant elements, in order to help foster and encourage communitarian cross-posting.
My approach would be very hands-off and very pro-free speech and promote the freedom of expression. Pursuant to United States law, calls for literal actual terrorism will be deleted and subject to reporting. Explicit NSFW pictures would have to have a spoiler or risk deletion, as well as the post must be centered around political discussion. Postings about sexual content will need to have political relevance. "BBC" posts/threads will be deleted and guilty posters will get a 2-week ban, subjected to potentially higher consequences. All religious/mystical threads will be allowed to have both /generals/ and thread-specific conversational themes, no matter who or what anons adhere to. The UI will not be altered with whatsoever, unless a vast majority of users request a feature is added. Nearly every type of general will be allowed to exist, with moderation discussed in a meta-thread. No word filters will ever be implemented. All unnecessary tripfaggotry will be aggressively discouraged. All criticism of moderation practices will be allowed to speak and say whatever they want. Board/site-linking will be encouraged. All reports about spam will be listened to and judged on their individual merits. Anchoring and auto-sages will be solely reserved for threads which do not deserve deletion, but which the vast majority of users decide should not be bumped, specifically discussed within a meta-thread. Any additional volunteers will be potentially decided upon by the majority within a meta-thread.
Two meta-threads will be created and pinned; One thread will be an uncensored meta thread about the discussions and moderation and themes which go on in the board itself. The second thread will feature available links towards subject material that anons want posters to read, while three main posts on the second thread will be reserved for edits in order to produce and continually update available links and relevant material.
All anons, whoever they are, deserve the right to freely speak and say what they wish without fear of random deletions. In this day and age of corporate dystopic tyranny, the right for freedom of speech needs to be fervently protected, no matter what. I will do my best to protect your rights to free speech, even if I disagree with everything that an anon might say. Heavy-handed moderation will only lead to the multiple creation of factional political boards, which will then contribute to an ever-decreasing interaction of users, as well as make 4chin more appealing to post in the sea of users, while anons hope to not be randomly deleted for arbitrary reasons.
