Nancy Pelosi Urges Support Of $50 Billion 'CHIPS' Bill Hours After Disclosing $8 Million Nvidia Stake
Oh, look: Nancy Pelosi is pushing legislation that stands to benefit her significantly thanks to a couple of brand new, multi-million dollar trades she has made.
Stop us if you've heard this one before...
This past week it hit the terminal that House Speaker Pelosi was doing a little portfolio re-jiggering, including exercising $8 million of call options in Nvidia and selling Apple and Visa calls. The data was per CongressTrading.com and was reported on by Bloomberg. The Nvidia LEAPS were bought June 3, 2021 with $100 strikes, set to expire June 17, 2022 and the position appeared to be disclosed on Thursday morning for the first time. $8 million trades seem a little odd for members of Congress to begin with, but who are we to judge?
But then, what did Speaker Pelosi do just hours after disclosing the trade, on Friday? She threw her weight behind a stalled $50 billion CHIPS PLUS bill that "would provide $52 billion in funding for semiconductor manufacturing grants and investment tax credits for the chip industry," according to RollCall.com.
Timeline of events:
7/23/21 - Buys $NVDA LEAPS
3/28/22 - $52B CHIP act initially passes but stalls out
6/17/22 - Pelosi buys $5M worth of $NVDA stock
7/14/22 - Pelosi comes out saying the bill needs to get passed ASAP
— Nancy Pelosi Stock Tracker (@PelosiTracker_) July 15, 2022
Pelosi said last week: “We had been working constantly on the chips bill. And we need to have the transformative nature of research and education and the rest to make us continue to be preeminent in the world. How it shapes up in the next short period of time, we’ll see. But we are determined that we will pass a bill.”
"Democrats are 'more interested in' a chips-plus bill than a chips-only measure," Pelosi added, according to the Roll Call report.
Yeah...interested in that and buying super yachts. Let us guess: the unrealized gains tax won't be supported by Pelosi until she cashes out of the market altogether, either...

Your responsibility to read what these hold-in many cases (ETFs) hold UST Notes/Bills as a 'back-filler' FULL retard by providing 'cart before horse' single-stock ETFs (and levered too!) Allows anyone to affect the mvmt. of a single stock without affecting the volume at time (if you want to send it 'up" for a sale just buy this and it doesn't 'show' in the equity until later-total manipulation tool.
Wall Street Set for New ETF Gold Rush as Single-Stock Era Begins
A new ETF-for-everything era may have just begun on Wall Street, swelling an industry that already boasts nearly 3,000 products and $6.2 trillion in assets. The booming world of exchange-traded funds is about to get even more crowded after the very first single-equity ETFs launched Thursday -- despite a torrent of regulatory warnings over their risks while retail investors are still reeling from the crash in speculative trades from crypto to meme stocks..
The eight products from AXS Investments look like the start of a coming invasion of amped-up strategies that will seek to enhance or invert the performance of volatile companies, including Tesla Inc., Nvidia Corp. and PayPal Holdings Inc. Another proposed lineup from Toroso Investments offers to layer on a bullish options strategy in order to boost returns. All told, at least 85 more such ETFs are currently planned, according to filings tracked by Bloomberg, covering some 37 companies.
That’s just the start. With a never-ending fee war taking costs on index-tracking ETFs to rock-bottom levels, the arrival of single-stock products opens up a lucrative avenue for issuers, with leveraged or inverse trades tracking major companies up for grabs. All told, the Securities and Exchange Commission may have inadvertently put new investing tools in the hands of day traders at a dangerous time with recession risk sparking bear markets.(not a coincidence "Gary" knows exactly what he/they are doing with all this-see next quote) “We’re gonna see the floodgate absolutely open with new product launches in this arena,” said Nate Geraci, president of The ETF Store, an advisory firm. “So I think we’re gonna see ETF issuers blanket the market with all varieties of these ETFs: leverage, inverse, options overlays, you name it.”
Amrita Nandakumar, president of Vident Investment Advisory, which offers asset management services to issuers, said at least four clients have recently asked her firm about single-stock funds. “The level of interest has exploded, I would say, in the last eight weeks,” she said. (just buy the stock..no fee's no bullshit 'problems' to deal with since they will shut these off when the mistakes start getting made-and (((they))) totally want these to affect the equities to the upside so they can unload into the 'mistakes'...but if we are gong to 'blow this all up' for good (i.e. get rid of this corrupt system) this is just another feather in the cap and 'weapon' to do it with-bring it on!! but understand what they are doing here.)
While leveraged and inverse ETFs have long existed in the US some with a history of blowing up they target indexes or funds. The new single-stock products are potentially more volatile since stocks tend to make bigger moves. SEC Chair Gary Gensler said the products “present particular risk” in a press call this week. Commissioner Caroline Crenshaw called for the agency to adopt new rules that would address potential risks. Yet single-stock products have been able to list in part thanks to rule changes in 2019 and 2020 that allow leveraged and inverse ETFs to launch without first getting the SEC’s approval. Single-stock products, which didn’t exist in the US at the time, may have been an “unintended consequence” of the changes, said Vident’s Nandakumar. “I wouldn’t expect the SEC to contemplate every single potential product development innovation that could come out.” (They not only knew this they COUNTED on it as why allow them in the first place-takes one or two phone calls to kill this off yet...crickets....kek!-this is a missing piece from 2008 along with Cryptos so that this entire thing gets so bloated it freezes up-they can kill this off by bloating it so don't assume that the end game is a market crash-actually you don't want that, as already mentioned many times, they will just legally buy it all back (like the did in 2008/9) and begin the next boom/bust cycle-don't want that...want it DED)
Commissioner Crenshaw warned about putting the ETFs in the hands of retail traders in particular, saying that it would be challenging for investment advisers to recommend the products while honoring their fiduciary duties. Greg Bassuk, chief executive officer of AXS, has maintained that his firm’s suite is geared towards “sophisticated, active traders.” Even then, it’s clear that they will appeal to the day-trading crowd. “It can be harder to short stocks*for retail investors -- so maybe these are a lower risk, easier to execute option for retail investors to get short,” said Chris Murphy, co-head of derivatives strategy at Susquehanna International Group. “Once again my concerns would be how much the slippage and cost of the ETF eats into a short position of say, Tesla, for example.”
The AXS TSLA Bear Daily (ticker TSLQ) charges an expense ratio of 1.15%, while the spot borrowing rate for shares of Tesla a measure of the cost of shorting the stock currently stands near 0.3%, according to data compiled by S3 Partners. However, the appeal of an ETF like TSLQ lies more in the convenience rather than the cost, Bloomberg Intelligence’s James Seyffart said. “If you don’t have a margin account or even if you do, it might be easier to just buy TSLQ,” he said. “You click buy, and done. But I doubt any institution is going to use something like this.”
Another concern for novice traders is that the tickers for the single-stock funds are very similar to the tickers for the stocks themselves.(completely done on purpose and they know EXACTLY what they are doing here-this is nothing moar than a fleece retail move and totally sanctioned by the SEC but Gary is going to "fix it all")
https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/wall-street-set-for-new-etf-gold-rush-as-single-stock-era-begins-1.1792768
*If they can't figure out or 'understand' how to short a stock (it's NOT hard) they aren't gonna know what this does either
The 'fat-finger' as an excuse-but here it's gonna totally happen-trades that this is going to unleash (and lawsuits-remember a ham sandwich can be indicted..never forget that) is going to be monumental.
What this does is create a 'delay in reporting volume-so you will see the stock move in a big ways up and down but the reporting of the volume is going to be somewhat delayed but adding these to the mix-so you'll see a short volume bar on the chart but a big move in the underlying stock that it is tied to-it is NOT an instant transaction-the custodian of the ETF having to report the shares they purchase or sell to reflect what is done to the ETF so hence the "cart before horse" metaphor.

Major railroad union BLET authorizes potential strike over labor contract fight
One of the largest railroad workers unions has voted to authorize a strike as tensions in a bitter labor contract negotiation continue to rise. The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, known as BLET, said Tuesday more than 99% of its members voted to authorize a strike. The union represents more than 57,000 locomotive engineers and trainmen throughout the U.S., including more than 23,000 affected by negotiations with the Class I railroads. Fort Worth-based BNSF Railway, owned by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway, is among the railroads involved in the labor fight.
Talks between the railroads and the unions started more than two years ago. A possible strike could devastate supply chains and have a crippling effect on the already fragile U.S. economy. Following the vote, BLET President Dennis Pierce said in a statement workers would strike "should such action become legal in the coming days, and become necessary to secure a contract worthy of their consideration." Responsibility for a possible strike "lies squarely on the rail carriers," he said. "In the end, the question of whether or not any of the rail industry’s union-represented employees want to legally strike is secondary to what they truly want," Pierce said. "They want a contract with meaningful wage increases and good benefits. They want jobs that give them the ability to have a life outside of work. To be clear, there would be no need for a strike vote if any of that had happened in these negotiations."
The strike vote comes a month after the National Mediation Board ended its process and the sides entered a 30-day "cooling off" period — a time when no strikes and work stoppages may occur. The railroads and unions are conducting two days of meetings this week to try to reach an accord. If they don't, it would be up to Potato to appoint a Presidential Emergency Board by the time the cooling-off period ends next week or else a work stoppage could happen. If appointed, the PEB would have 30 days to conduct hearings and issue a report making recommendations that could serve as the outline for a potential settlement. However, the board's report would be non-binding. Work stoppages would be prohibited during the PEB's process and for another 30 days following the issuance of the report. The BLET has also expressed outrage about a "draconian" new attendance policy at BNSF. "In short, the railroads used and continue to use their economic strength to steamroll their employees, their customers and the nation, all for the sake of their bottom line, and it is clear that they have no intentions of changing," said Pierce the BLET president.
The railroad industry has suffered this year with disruptions stemming from staffing shortages. The Surface Transportation Board conducted a hearing earlier this year and required the railroads to implement service recovery plans. However, problems have persisted. For example, BNSF recently implemented a temporary embargo through July 31 on shipments to California originating from Texas, Oklahoma and 12 other states because of "significant ongoing service challenges."

SAM509 USAF C-32A was heading somewhere else after it's ground stop and refuel or dropped someone off at Bangor, ME-diverted to JBA pretty quickly-this hauled ass over the Atlantic on Weds night.
There is some weather in the area but it looks like it got a "call" just north of Scranton, PA-then started dropping altitude for it's pretty tight left turn
EXEC1F USAF USAF C-32A departed New Castle Cty Airport after ground stop and to JBA..did you forget some diapers for Joe and had to stop at home?-a little less than 2 hours on ground
Planefag 101 acronymsWhat is tracked and reported on: This is what I focus on below and I will give the Civil equivalent of these ACs since they use different ones but are essentially the same AC just upgraded for Security/Comms/Transports (some are moar office/comms-oriented less passenger oriented) so these are civil equivalents since most (on avg) don't know WTF a C-37 is but you all know what a G-5 is
ACs and acronyms-what does it mean
The major acronyms used here ( AC=AirCraft -wise) are these starting with the most used are:
SAM=Special Air Mission-these are VIP transport flights: These are 757s, 737s G5s ftmp and when they are teh 757s they are President (Potato), VP (kneepads), Sec of State Blinken, Sec of Defense, Treasury Sec (dude Janet Yellen), I've seen JCOS Mark Milley on one but the Military command structure use the G5 almost exclusively. You'll see the SAM designation with 3 #s on them-they use 0-9 are repeat over and over. Sometimes the same one is used for same person like kneepads has used SAM509 (and that fooled some people a few days ago becasue she has used that but on a different AC (tail#). The 737s are usually White House National Security Office (WH NSO) State Dept. In fact, Pompeo used the 737 for many of his trips (Int'l and and CONUS*) instead of the bigger 757 but he did use that too. The 737s at this lever are much moar office oriented and have less space for passengers and moar for /comms as well.-moar on those below is the BOXER area. Cap#2 is a C-32A or 757 and Cap #4 for the G5
RCHXXX(X)RCH stand for Reach (US Air Force Mobility Command) and is used on the C-17 Globemaster (as in they 'Reach' all over the Globe) and when they have 4 digits they are for transporting Potato/Potata (Flauxtus), Kneepads, Sec. of State, Sec of Defense, and other top level Gov't officials and cabinet members-they don't really use those for much else other than the top 3 on that list-but also use them for transporting Special Equipment between Cape Canaveral-Dover AFB, Travis AFB and Moffett Federal Airfield, Basically the lower on down the list you are the less equipment you need for your visit. They train and keep skills up-to-date at Travis AFB in CA so you see a lot of them out there and flying around and back. Remember we had the Afghanistan nightmare and the plane they used at Kabul and said that someone fell from (Total BS) was a C-17 and it's tail # just happened to be #02-11009 or 911 x 2 (towers) can't make this shit up-cap #2
SPARSpecial Priority Air Resource: Almost always G5s and consist of the various heads of the Military Commands and some just below like officers-located across the world: NATO, Indonesia-Pacific INDO-PAC, Africa Command AFRICOM, US Central Command (CENTCOM) etc..you see these travel over CONUS *(CONtiniental United States) as well
BOXER: this doesn't really 'mean' anything that I know of but are mostly politicians and consist of ACs (737s) and are mostly a whitish or eggshell that are moar passenger oriented but they can configure them to be moar like the 737s that the SAM callsigns use but ftmp they are passenger- The 737s (SMA and BOXER are known as C-40s and there are three major designations "A" these are Navy flights -since it;s the biggest division of the military and have the most flights-aka as 'Clippers' "B" are the moar /comms and office related models for both of these SAM and BOXER and the "C" model-this is the one that Nancy uses and typically under the BOXER41-46 callsigns and when a BOXER goes to San Francisco Int'l on a Thursday-90% of the time it's Nancy Cap #5 is Nancys 'normal' AC tail #02-0201 C-40C or 737
PAT= Priority Air Resource-these are usually smalller AC like the G5s and the Beech Huron examples-they represent moar personnel or surveillance ACs moving around and have a 'Priority' classification becasue either there is someone or something that Air command requires a 'priority' to be given.
USAFSOC:US Air Force Special Opertions Command and are mostly 757s and those are designated as C-32B-they rotate tail #s but they just do them on the same set of ACs so they aren't very 'secret' any longer. I have seen less of them visible over the last 6 months when there used to be 2-3 a week-I also have plenty of ANON callsigns used for them too-also they like using those when they fly into Coronado (SEALS secondary phase of training -and longest located here) North IslandNaval Air Station and other places like NAS Oceana-they are certainly throwing comms as they know we watch them. Cap #2 but all white
Decoding a line for a planefag post: When it is United States I do not indicate that unless it's flying with other non-US ACs so you will see: ANON USAFSOC C-32B which means the callsign used is ANON it is United States Air Force Special Operations Command and is a military version (in this case -VERY specialized and upgraded comms/engines security features etc) of a 737 (C-32B)
In the case of a non-US AC I just indicate what country it is like Polish AF (Air Force), Mexican Navy, etc...
German AF GAF959 A340-which is German Air Force using callsign GAF959 (and incidentally the German AF like using Porsche model #s and go all the way back to the original 911 prototype for the German President as he uses GAF901) and is an Airbus A-340 type AC. Not too many European Gov't s use Boeing ACs-the Japanese have some pretty new 777s for the Prime Minister and so does Modi in India. Morocccan has a brand new (for them 747) so not common but exist.
In most cases they use Airbus ACs (in Europe) so I also tell you exactly what they are-for example an Airbus A400m is basically a version of our C-130 Hercules- a four engined propeller-driven transport and in some cases gunship AC. So we all pretty much have the same "shit" it just depends on who makes it-and what the call it.. An Aribus A319 is the about the same size and the equivalent of a 737
If you have any questions I'd be habby to answer them-this knowledge is based on a time-span of abut 10 years and i already had a good grounding in Commercial/Civil Aviation as muh grand-parents were Pilots way back in the day..but I have no military service so all of this have learned on muh own-but it helped that I knew the Civil equals to these ACs

No callsign Potato in 82-8000 almost back to JBA from RAF Mildenhall stop/refuel and Jeddah depart
GRIMM99 USAF E-4B Nightwatch landed at JBA (shows as 74-0787) and he must have been totally heavy as it required 2 fuel loads to get it back-usually just one is enough (1 aerial refuel) but they did it twice so he's got a full load that is for sure
Those two tankers that gave it the second load of fuel over Halifax are back at Pittsburgh Int'l where they departed from

IMF to Cut Global Growth Outlook ‘Substantially’ at Next Review
The International Monetary Fund will cut its global economic growth outlook “substantially” in its next update, as finance chiefs grapple with a shrinking list of options to address the worsening risks.
Surging food and energy prices, slowing capital flows to emerging markets, the ongoing pandemic and a slowdown in China make it “much more challenging” for policymakers, Ceyla Pazarbasioglu, the IMF’s director for strategy, policy and review, said at a Sunday panel in Bali, Indonesia. “It’s shock after shock after shock which are really hitting the global economy.” She spoke after the Group of 20 finance ministers and central bank governors ended their meeting on Saturday without reaching a communique, underlining the difficulty in coordinating a global response to surging inflation and recessionary fears. The IMF already downgraded its outlook for the global expansion this year to 3.6%, from 4.4% before the war in Ukraine, in its April report. In a review due this month, “we will downgrade our forecast substantially,” Pazarbasioglu said. Central bankers around the world are finding it tough to find the right response to price increases that are driven by supply issues. “The path to a soft landing is narrowing; we think it is still a feasible path but certainly not a very easy one,” said Hyun Song Shin, head of research at the Bank for International Settlements, at the same panel. “Where central banks take monetary policy in a rapid and decisive manner and have a front-loaded response to inflation, that is more conducive to a soft landing.” Bank Indonesia, as the host nation for the G-20 meeting, has become an outlier in keeping its policy rate at a record low. Governor Perry Warjiyo has defended that view, saying that tightening too soon could risk plunging the country, fresh out of a pandemic-driven recession, into stagflation instead.

‘Gensler has to act soon’: Congress, Wall Street await more SEC action amid crypto meltdown
With crypto platforms going bankrupt and investors unable to withdraw funds from some crypto outfits, Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is calling on the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) to act. “Congress needs to act, but the SEC has a responsibility to use its authorities to put guardrails in place and crack down on crypto actors that break the rules,” Senator Warren told Yahoo Finance.
“I’ve been ringing the alarm bell on crypto and the need for stronger rules to protect consumers and financial stability,” Warren added. “Too many crypto firms have been able to scam customers and leave ordinary investors holding the bag while insiders make off with their money.” (such hubris..."I" have been ringing the alarm bells...yes Squaw you are the ONLY one..kek-how did that Consumer Protection thingy you did werk out again >asking for a fren)
It’s not just members of Congress — analysts are also baffled as to why SEC Chairman Gary Gensler has not been more aggressive. “Gensler has to act soon,” says Cowen analyst Jaret Seiburg. “Otherwise, we expect progressives and conservatives will blame him for why average investors have lost money in crypto.” ("Gary" taught courses in Cryptos at MIT-see below-so he noes all about them and this is just an act-dragging this out to "examine" the issues.) and then the MONEY quote: ‘We have rules in place’)
Under Gensler’s leadership, the SEC has been reluctant to propose rules to regulate crypto or apply existing securities laws. And this after Gensler has repeatedly said over the past year and a half that nearly all cryptocurrency tokens are securities, and platforms that trade those tokens are exchanges. A lobbyist speaking on a condition of anonymity says it seem much of the agenda at the SEC is coming from the chair’s office while career folks at agency aren’t playing the role they have historically. More enforcement action is expected, according to one crypto industry lobbyist, who also says a significant amount of the crypto industry is afraid to proactively engage with the SEC over fears of enforcement actions.
When asked by Yahoo Finance in an interview on Thursday why the SEC hasn’t acted more aggressively to write rules to protect investors, Chair Gensler said he rejected the premise.
“We have rules in place for what it means to be an investment company, like a mutual fund, when you put your money in,” said Gensler.
(Bwahahahahaha you had PLENTY of "rules in place" while (You) were the CFTC Chair and yet you still ignored those and killed off 3-yes THREE separate Silver manipulation Investigations by your own regulatory body-that is now staffed by 2 fuggen ijits and 2 people who worked at Shitibank (in Global Compliance!) and JP Morgan (Exec VP) and was totally involved with serial bitch Blythe Masters as the official 'clean-up crew at JP Morgan SO Gary....GFYthis is you stalling to let it get worse so you can jump in and "save it" by decree.)
Gensler also pointed to enforcement actions the Commission has taken against crypto firms that violated securities laws, specifically, crypto company BlockFi. Two bankruptcies in three weeks. Cryptocurrency investors are learning there’s no government safety net to protect them when funds disappear on a failed crypto platform. Customers of at least two crypto lenders — Celsius Network and Canada’s Voyager — have lost money and access to their accounts after both firms failed following the plunge in crypto markets. Voyager filed for bankruptcy earlier this month after crypto hedge fund Three Arrows Capital was unable to pay back a loan to the crypto lender. Late last week, Celsius filed for bankruptcy protection as well. Lawyers say the SEC is awaiting the outcome of a case from crypto firm Ripple — which the agency is hopeful it will win — to set precedent for crypto rule making while giving the agency more ammunition to regulate crypto tokens as securities. The SEC has charged Ripple for violating securities laws when it sold its token XRP without registering with the commission to finance its platform, thereby selling an illegal and unregistered security. Ripple has challenged the charges in an ongoing court case. (Ripple was also heavily used and seed money given by the Clinton Foundation a bird told me a few years ago.) The outcome of this case will likely establish whether the SEC’s interpretation is correct, and thereby set precedent for regulating crypto tokens. >>142841, >>142843, >>142844 pb Cryptos "something is brewing" XRP (ripple is token) favrorable ruling-Judge Netburn denied SEC the motion to keep Hinman documents protected..XRP is Mellon Family (OG Banking) product
