Thank you. I had second thoughts about my earlier response. After I thought it through i realized 2 things: 1) it just doesn't pass the sniff test and 2) I hadn't read the actual article. Now that I've heard the actual impromptu press conference, I can see that zerohedge is playing fast and loose with the truth. If they want to keep THIS audience, they'll have to better.

Prayer has two parts and lots of folks forget the second part.
1) address God as if your earthly father, except that he's never too tired to listen, too tapped out to say "yes", too drunk to say "no". Talk to him as if the two of you were talking at the end of the day about whatever and go ahead and confide what's really in your mind and on your heart. If there is something you want, say so, with the proviso that you will accept his will in the matter in any case. Don't limit him by telling him EXACTLY what to do. If you need money, ask for a way to earn it. ANY honorable way. If you need forgiveness from God, make sure that you also ask forgiveness from his children that you may have hurt. You can't overemphasize the God=Dad idea. But the "Lord's Prayer" starts out with "OUR father" ... you aren't the only one and he loves them all. If you have sinned against another human being, address that, first. Make things right to the extent humanly possible.
If you hurt MY sons and then come to me for help without getting things straight with them, well, guess what -- until you get that squared away, you're on your own.
Knowing what you do of Jesus, as you get to the end of what you have to say, keep in mind that you can only approach God because of him and acknowledge that with a simple "in the name of Jesus". DON"T PRAY TO JESUS ... just close with that acknowledgement that it is only through the sacrifice that Jesus made that we can approach God at all.
But this is a dialogue, not a grocery order. So STFU and give Him a chance to respond.
KNOW that EVERY prayer IS answered. Let God work the details out and be watchful for the answer. Keep in mind that you can't outgive God so be generous to others when you can. Give your time, your encouragement and yes, your material means (but do not hurt your family in your generosity toward others ... they are your first responsibility).
Give God something and someone to bless and he will. He always does.
