The articles cited in >>7985975 establish that the IRI is another money laundering NGO supporting terrorism in Africa, Ukraine and Lithuania. It receives money from the Feds and is referred to as a working partner with its Democratic counterpart institute, as well as USAID and C_A.

Ties in to another dig last week on Ray LaHood, whose son was picked up in Egypt in 2012 spreading money for the Arab Spring initiative, and later convicted. He was an IRI front-man, too.
One final thing about the Sam LaHood part of this post:
US Gov't pressured Egypt to let LaHood and his other cronies leave the country, or they wouldn't get $1 billion (or moar, don't recall exact fig) in aid...
