Tens of thousands protest against the introduction of COVID passports for cafés, bars and shopping centers.
PARIS — The French government, which last week introduced some of Europe’s toughest measures against COVID-19, has been forced to row back on some restrictions following a pushback from industries and street protests.
Among the new rules, French President Emmanuel Macron sought to turbo-drive vaccinations by making proof of vaccination or immunity mandatory to enter cafés, restaurants and a range of other venues this summer.
The scheme, which goes further than other big EU countries, was introduced to help break a fourth wave of COVID-19 infections in France, driven by the more contagious Delta variant. On Monday, the government spokesperson Gabriel Attal warned that the increase in cases was “stratospheric” after France’s incidence rate increased by 125 percent in a week.
“Our rates were low, but this wave [of infections] can go up very quickly and reach very high numbers,” he told reporters.
The COVID green pass — a digital or paper certificate that contains proof of vaccination or of immunity — is scheduled to come into effect next month. Wednesday is seen as a test day for the pass that will be introduced in museums, galleries and cinemas for events exceeding 50 people.
But barely a week after it was announced the scheme is already coming under significant strain. More than 100,000 people, many of them waving anti-vaccination placards, took to the streets to protest against the pass on Sunday, raising fears the pass will become a symbol for dissatisfaction against Macron.

"The unprecedented revelation... should send a chill down the spine of world leaders," Amnesty's secretary-general, Agnes Callamard, said in a statement....
An official in Macron's office said authorities would investigate Le Monde's report, and if the targeting is proven, it would be "extremely grave".
Le Monde quoted NSO as saying the French president was never targeted by its clients.
NSO Group has denied that it ever maintained "a list of potential, past or existing targets". It called the Forbidden Stories report "full of wrong assumptions and uncorroborated theories".
The source of the leak — and how it was authenticated — has not been disclosed. While a phone number’s presence in the data does not mean an attempt was made to hack a device, the consortium said it was confident the data indicated potential targets of NSO’s government clients.....

He gave his opinion that originally we should have vaccinated less than 20 million seniors and associated care workers. That would have handled the COVID-19 hospitalization and mortality issues and would not have promoted the development of variants.
By ineptly pushing mass vaccination, governments have created evolutionary pressures on SARS-CoV-2, which have mutated to escape the effect of the vaccines.
Now fully vaccinated persons are contracting COVID-19 in large numbers, probably with the Delta variant. They cover vaccine safety, and when considering the failure of efficacy and the fatal and nonfatal serious safety concerns with all of the vaccines, McCullough concludes that we should shut down the ill-fated mass vaccination program.
The remaining cases can be easily treated early at home, and we can close out the pandemic with little hardship on populations.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has issued a warning to South Florida boaters planning to take part in a flotilla to Cuba.
“It is illegal for boaters to depart with the intent to travel to Cuba for any purpose without a permit,” according to an advisory they issued on Thursday.
DHS said in the advisory that any boater intending to enter Cuban territorial waters must get permission from the U.S. Coast Guard. Violators risk facing fines of $25,000 a day and 10 years in prison, the advisory said.

People who bring foreign nationals into the U.S. illegally risk facing fines of up to $250,000 a day and five years in prison, the department said.

Supply chain problems continue to plague the restaurant industry, leading big chains Taco Bell and Starbucks to warn consumers on Monday that some items may not be available.
Starbucks told customers on its app that “due to supply shortages, some items are temporarily unavailable.”
That echoed warnings that have persisted at the chain’s locations for months. Consumers have complained on social media channels about periodic shortages of items such as green tea.
At Taco Bell, customers are complaining about a lack of hot sauce. The Mexican fast-food chain’s website warns customers that not all items are available at the moment.
“Sorry if we can’t feed your current crave. Due to national ingredient shortages and delivery delays, we may be out of some items,” an orange banner with bold lettering read on the top of Taco Bell’s website.

First, the GOP were foolish, specifically Kevin McCarthy, for agreeing to put any republicans on the January 6th investigative committee in the first place. It was, and is, transparently obvious that the intent of Speaker Pelosi’s committee was to establish a political framework for the 2022 election cycle. Even Reuters pointed this out when they admitted the intent of the committee was to “complicate Republicans’ efforts to win majority control of the House in the 2022 congressional elections.”
Second, there is good news in this echo-chamber move by Pelosi to reject Republican committee members. The fact that Nancy Pelosi would block any specific members from participating only speaks to the political intent of the committee’s central purpose. Democrats have a habit of overplaying their hand; however, Republicans are weak in their ability to call it out with the eloquence and exposure it deserves.
In an extreme power move, Nancy Pelosi rejected Representative Jim Jordan (OH) and Representative Jim Banks (IN) from their appointment to the J6 committee. {Read Pelosi Statement Here}: “Monday evening, the Minority Leader recommended 5 Members to serve on the Select Committee. Senate Republicans have blocked an effort to advance the Democrats’ infrastructure plan on Wednesday afternoon, producing a massive setback for the Biden administration’s efforts to go ahead with a bill expected to cost roughly $3.5 trillion ($4.1 trillion with a $600 billion bipartisan plan) to fund the Build Back Better agenda.
The Republicans blocked Democrat Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s attempt to move forward on a proposal, arguing that the party could not advance a plan that is still being negotiated.
It was blocked 49 to 51, with Schumer changing his vote to “no” for procedural reasons so he could bring the bill back up, as reported by The Recount.

It Is statements like this which have lead to Malone being told by an experienced journalist that he needs to hire security because he is at risk of being assassinated.
Big Pharma would certainly be better off if they could stop Dr Malone from making any more noise about their products. In early 2020 Moderna was worth $5 billion. Fast forward to July 2021 and it is now worth over $100 billion thanks to the emergency approval of its Covid-19 mRNA vaccine in the USA, United Kingdom, and Europe.
