Israel compiles list of officials who could face arrest over ICC probe
Israeli authorities have compiled a top secret list of hundreds of military and intelligence officials, who could be arrested abroad if the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague opens an investigation into their war crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The list thus far consists of between 200 to 300 people, some of whom are not aware of their inclusion, for abuses and war crimes committed in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem al-Quds, Haaretz newspaper reported on Thursday.
The list is secret as the Tel Aviv regime fears that the ICC could perceive the list of names as an official Israeli admission of the officials’ involvement in the incidents under investigation.
The roster includes some of Israel’s top officials, especially those involved in the 2014 military onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip.
Among them would be Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, minister of military affairs Benny Gantz, former minister of military affairs and current opposition MK Moshe Ya’alon, and the chief of the general staff of the Israeli army, Aviv Kohavi.
Former ministers of military affairs Avigdor Liberman and Naftali Bennett, along with former and current heads of the Shin Bet security service, Yoram Cohen and Nadav Argaman respectively, and some lower-ranking officers are also on the list.
A three-judge panel at the ICC is set to rule in the coming days or weeks on whether to approve a request by the court’s chief prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, to launch an investigation into war crimes perpetrated in the occupied Palestinian land.

US continues to arm terrorists in Syria’s al-Tanf, trains them for terror acts: Top Russian official
The Russian Foreign Ministry says the United States continues to arm allied Takfiri terrorists in al-Tanf region in Syria’s central province of Homs near the Jordanian border, and trains them to carry out acts of terror and sabotage across the war-wracked country.
“There is actually no fight against terrorism in areas where Americans are present. On the contrary, they (terrorists) are being encouraged to continue their activities. For example, there is credible information that the (US) forces occupying the area around al-Tanf are training and supplying weapons to terrorist groups. This is being done for the sake of acts of sabotage across Syria,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a press briefing in the Russian capital Moscow on Thursday.
She added, “We generally evaluate the situation on the ground as tense, and the most difficult situation is in areas that are out of the control of the Syrian government, as in [the northwestern province of Idlib] and east of Euphrates River [in northern Syria].”
The remarks came only days after a member of a Takfiri terrorist group, who was recently detained by Syrian government forces, admitted receiving training on how to use US-made weapons under the supervision of American instructors.

“Baby Lives Matter” was painted in large letters overnight outside of a Salt Lake City Planned Parenthood.
The art was no doubt inspired by the “Black Lives Matter” painted outside the White House last month.
Benny Johnson, a man-on-the-street political commentary with Turning Point USA posted the images to his Facebook page and identified the artist as “pro-life” and a “true patriot.”

Beatty was in New York on Saturday, this time targeting the gigantic, yellow ‘Black Lives Matter’ mural put down on Fifth Avenue by Mayor Bill de Blasio last week. She strode out onto the mural, spilled a tin of black paint over the letters, and chanted “Jesus matters” and “refund the police.”

Major Fire Erupts at Factory in Tabriz, Northwestern Iran - Video
A factory located close to the town of Sheikh Hassan, in Northwestern Iran has caught fire, according to the Iranian Labour News Agency (ILNA).
Firefighters from the Iranian cities of Khosrowshah and Sardrud promptly arrived on the scene of the major blaze at a cellophane printing company situated southwest of Tabriz, ILNA reported. No casualties have been reported so far. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
Social media users have shared multiple videos depicting black plumes of smoke rising from the factory.

Kuwait's emir in hospital, crown prince takes over some duties
Kuwait’s 91-year-old ruler Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah was admitted to hospital on Saturday, and underwent successful surgery on Sunday morning, with the country’s crown prince temporarily carrying out some of his duties, Reuters quoted a report by the state news agency KUNA.
Sheikh Sabah has ruled the OPEC oil producer and US ally since 2006. His office, in a statement carried by state news agency KUNA, did not specify what kind of surgery he underwent.
A royal order was issued assigning Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmed al-Sabah, the emir’s designated successor, “to take over some constitutional jurisdictions of His Highness the Emir temporarily”, KUNA said in a separate statement.
Last year, Sheikh Sabah was admitted to hospital in the United States while on an official visit there, after suffering what his office described as a health setback in Kuwait in August. He returned to the Gulf Arab state in October.
