Been having sinus issues ever since I left the military back in 91.

Today I tried this nasal washing bottle someone gave me. You blow into it and it forces saltwater up your nose and out the other nostril.

What is freaking me out is, I blew two microchips out of my nose. One got stuck and i had to use tweezers to pull it out.

Kuwait's emir in hospital, crown prince takes over some duties

The Mossos d’Esquadra in Spain’s Barcelona have conducted 12 arrests and identified almost 1,000 victims who formed part of an international human trafficking network.

THE police have dismantled an international human trafficking network in Barcelona which has led to the arrest of 12 individuals, the majority of which were of Sub-Saharan and Moroccan nationality.

 

Searches have been carried out in the provinces of Burgos and Barcelona, as well as overseas. Police carried out three searches in Portugal, two in Germany and one in the Netherlands.

 

Almost 1,000 victims have been identified in this operation, including women and children. Two kilos of marihuana were seized and around €500,000 in profits was also retained from the criminal network.

 

The operation has been ongoing since 2018 when Guardia Civil officers identified a criminal gang who was in charge of transporting a high number of undocumented migrants to France.

 

The victims including many pregnant women and children who were recruited to work irregularly and were transferred from Spain to France, Belgium and Germany. The fees for transporting them to these European countries would typically range from €500-€750.

 

The criminals were ruthless when it came to payments and were even known to abandon minors during the trips if they could not pay the full amount indebted to them.

But what I can predict with confidence is that if President Trump wins, November 4, 2020 will be a day of reckoning not only for the Democratic Party, but also for leading mainstream media.

 

Since Trump’s election, these news outlets have devoted vast resources to make news about the administration. The resulting coverage has been mostly negative. The economic outcomes for the leading media, however, has been quite positive — at least in some cases. The New York Times Co., for instance, has seen its stock price triple since November 8, 2016, from $11.10 to $33.07 today. That’s almost six times the performance of the S&P 500 during the same period.

 

But what about the media’s political, not economic, power? What might a re-election of Donald Trump say about the limits of journalistic organizations to influence public opinion in the contemporary polity?

 

Finally, what about media theory? What would this scenario say about the vitality of notions such as the power of the media to set the agenda, the existence of minimal effects, and the like, that have been at the foundation of communication scholarship for generations?

 

These notions of media theory are premised on an information-centric view of the power of communication. But how much of it is tenable at a time when it seems people increasingly make sense of the news with their hearts first and their minds second?

 

So will November 4, 2020, be a day of reckoning for the Democratic Party, mainstream journalism, and media theory? Perhaps we shouldn’t wait that long to start answering the question. Gulftainer showed its true colors in April 2020 when Gulftainer blockaded Wawa tanker trucks from delivering fuel to hundreds of Wawa gas stations across five north eastern states (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia) amid the Chinese coronavirus pandemic. Gulftainer then attempted to extort one million dollars from Buckeye Partners, the company that controls the fuel tank farm adjacent to the Port of Wilmington where Wawa loads hundreds of fuel tankers trucks each and every day.

 

Initially, Gulftainer received a 35-year lease to Florida’s Port Canaveral cargo container terminal under the Obama administration shortly after Gulftainer entered into a joint venture with Russia’s ROSTEC/ROSOBORONEXPORT, the exporter of Russia’s Trojan Horse Club-K Intermodal Cargo Container Cruise Missile Launching System. While the Club-K looks identical to a standard commercial intermodal cargo containers that get delivered to every hamlet in America, it is actually an advanced military weapons system that can deliver nuclear, EMP, chemical, biological, and conventional payloads.

 

President Trump placed sanctions on Russia’s ROSOBORONEXPORT on the very day that Delaware’s Port of Wilmington approved Gulftainer’s lease of the entire port.

Multiple people stabbed at Bible study, police chief injured taking down attacker

 

Multiple people were injured during a Bible study session on Saturday afternoon when an alleged member of the congregation stabbed the church's pastor before being stopped by the area’s police chief who happened to be in attendance.

 

The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon at around 3 p.m. at the Grace Covenant Church in Chantilly, Virginia, about 25 miles west of Washington, D.C. when a member of the church stabbed the church’s pastor who was leading a Bible study class at the time.

 

Two church members reportedly came to the defense of the pastor, including Fairfax County Police Chief Ed Roessler who happened to be at Grace Covenant at the right time.

 

A witness of the stabbing spoke to ABC News’ Washington, D.C. affiliate WJLA and described the chaotic scene.

 

“He did his part in the moment,” the female witness said. “Sometimes we can’t prevent injury. I know people were injured but it could have been worse, I do believe. I think it could have been a lot worse. There are a lot of emotions but I do have faith that everything is going to be okay.”

 

According to WJLA, Ed Roessler is a 31-year law enforcement veteran who has been in a leadership position with Fairfax County Police since 2010 and also worked at the most recent presidential inauguration in 2017.

 

Brett Fuller, another pastor at the Grace Covenant Church and chaplain to Washington, D.C.’s NFL franchise, released a statement following the stabbing.

 

“Today, in a routine church educational setting, one of our pastors was assaulted by an attendee,” Fuller said. “Two church members came to the pastor’s aid and valiantly risked their own lives to defend him. In the process, one of our members was injured. The pastor and one of the members are being treated at Reston Hospital for non life-threatening injuries. The other member involved sustained injuries that did not require medical attention. The assailant was taken into captivity at the scene.”

 

Said Fuller: “We are in prayer for all the injured. We are grateful for the courage exhibited that prevented worse from happening. Lastly, we want to thank the broader community for their outpouring of concern and support in this time.”

 

Two people were treated for non-serious non-life-threatening injuries at nearby Reston Hospital and the unnamed suspect was taken into custody.

I know mandates aren't laws and all that shit. Public school told me I have to wear a mask to register my high schooler tomorrow.

 

How can they require me or my kid to wear a mask in a public school? Private school maybe, privately owned businesses, i guess. Can't I just make them stay 6 ft away from me?

 

I plan on asking them if they're going to disinfect my kid's birth certificate and proof of residence before and after they make copies…will they steam clean the chairs? Or if metal, wipe them down after every use?

 

Will they have single use masks before every class, one for the hallway, then one for the next class? They'll probably need at least 10 if they have 5 classes and 5 times walking to a new class. Then they'll need a new one for the bus ride home.

 

My estimation that makes 12 masks needed per day. The school is only providing one for the whole year. 180 days of school, 12 masks = 2,160 masks. Who is going to pay for these? Is the burden on me?

 

If my kid gets a headache from the mask, will he be excused from class? Will he be penalized for having to miss class?

FYI, I think paypal is implementing some kind of risk assessment algo that is nefarious. My credit is excellent, and I've had no issues anywhere ever, but Paypal has flagged one of my cards and now my email. The startling revelation comes from 69-year-old Anthony Raimondi's new novel 'When the Bullet Hits the Bone.'

 

Raimondi was a loyal member of the Colombo family - one of the notorious five Italian mafia families in New York City. 

 

The Colombo family dealt in a host of criminal enterprises, including racketeering, contract killing, arms trafficking and loansharking. 

 

The scene begins in 1978 when Raimondi, the nephew of infamous godfather Charles 'Lucky' Luciano, was recruited by his cousin Paul Marcinkus, who ran the Vatican bank in Vatican City.  

 

The Vatican bank, formally known as The Institute for Works of Religion, is one of the most secretive financial establishments in the world.   

 

The New York Post reports that Raimondi's job was to learn the Pope's daily habits and be there when Marcinkus spiked John Paul's nightly cup of tea with Valium. 

 

Raimondi notes that the Valium worked so well that the Pope wouldn't have woken up 'even if there had been an earthquake.' 

 

He said: 'I stood in the hallway outside the Pope’s quarters when the tea was served.'

 

'I'd done a lot of things in my time, but I didn’t want to be there in the room when they killed the Pope. I knew that would buy me a one-way ticket to hell.'

 

Meanwhile, Marcinkus prepared a dose of cyanide for the Pope. 

 

'He measured it in the dropper, put the dropper in the Pope’s mouth and squeezed. When it was done, he closed the door behind him and walked away,' Raimondi said. 

 

Shortly after, a papal assistant reportedly checked on the Pope and screamed that 'the Pope was dying!' 

 

At which point, Marcinkus and two other cardinals rushed into the bedroom and pretended to be horrified by what they saw. 

 

Raimondi was asked by Marcinkus and others involved to testify before God that the Pope hadn't suffered. 

 

'They said when we die I would be their witness,' he said.  

 

A Vatican doctor would rule that John Paul suffered a heart attack, none the wiser to any alleged foul play.

 

The elaborate hit came to be because John Paul I allegedly threatened to expose an international fraud scam run by Vatican insiders.

 

The fraud included a forgery expert at the Vatican who lied about the church's actual holdings in American companies like IBM, Sunoco and Coca-Cola.

 

Then, mobsters would allegedly sell phony stock certificates to innocent buyers.

 

If John Paul revealed the scheme, 'half the cardinals and bishops in the Vatican' would be out of the job. 

 

'They would have been thrown out and subject to the laws of the US and Italy,' Raimondi said to the Post. 

 

'They would have gone to jail.' 

 

Raimondi said if the Pope had kept his mouth shut, 'he could have had a nice long reign.'

 

Next on the list was John Paul II, who seemed set on exposing the inside job as well. 

 

Raimondi, a made man, was called back to the Vatican and told to prepare for a second murder at the behest of the fraudsters. 

 

He reportedly told them: ‘No way. What are you going to do? Just keep killing popes?’ 

 

Knowing he risked being killed by the mobsters, John Paul II allegedly chose to keep quiet about the illegal dealings.

 

John Paul II would go on to serve the second longest reign in modern history before he died at age 84 in 2005.

 

This apparently prompted days of drunken partying for the mobsters and corrupt cardinals in Vatican City. 

 

Raimondi said: 'We stayed and partied for a week with cardinals wearing civilian clothes, and lots of girls.'  

 

'If I had to live the rest of my life in Vatican City, it would have been OK with me. It was some setup. My cousins all drove Cadillacs. I am in the wrong business, I thought. I should have become a cardinal.' 

 

Raimondi dismisses those who question his story or say it closely resembles 'The Godfather III.' 

 

'It was a terrible movie. To tell you the truth I don’t really remember it,' Raimondi told The Post. 

 

'What I said in the book I stand by till the day I die. If they take [the pope’s body] and do any type of testing, they will still find traces of the poison in his system.' 

 

Raimondi, nicknamed 'Pluto', has left the mob life behind him and is now battling cancer.

the convert script I use I couple with an xargs call and it works very nicely by just replacing the file.

Prosecutor Yves Bertossa's ongoing inquiry centres on a $100m (£80m) gift to Juan Carlos from the king of Saudi Arabia in 2008, and whether it was in connection with the awarding of a €6.7bn contract for a Spanish consortium to build a high-speed railway from Medina to Mecca three years later.

 

Mr Bertossa has discovered the existence of two offshore funds, connected to Swiss bank accounts.

 

One is the Panama-based Lucum Foundation, set up to receive the $100m gift from the late King Abdullah, and which was liquidated in 2012, with almost the entire original amount donated to Ms zu Sayn-Wittgenstein, a German-born businesswoman…

Nearly Half of all Security Clearance Holders Now Under Continuous Evaluation

 

The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) continues to make progress on security clearance processing times and enrolling new applicants into its Continuous Evaluation (CE) program. In numbers released for the National Industrial Security Program Policy Advisory Committee (NISPPAC), DCSA shows 2.2 million total security clearance holders enrolled in CE – that’s nearly half of the total security cleared population, and over two-thirds of the DoD clearance population, based on the most recently released figures (the Office of the Director of National Intelligence has not made a version of its annual report on security clearance determinations releasable since FY 2017). As of 2017, the number of individuals with security clearance eligibility was just over 4 million, with 3.4 million of those individuals being DoD clearance holders. With today’s CE enrollment figures at 2.2 million, that means the CE rollout is well underway. If you have an active security clearance and you’re not currently enrolled in CE, you likely soon will be.

 

Who is Enrolled in CE? Of those enrolled in CE currently, 69% are Secret clearance holders, and 31% are TS or TS/SCI security clearance holders. Within the DoD population, 21%of those enrolled in CE are industry, 34% are Army, 20% are Air Force, 15% are Navy and 8% are Marines. Two percent are DoD Fourth Estate members, which includes members of the Joint Staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and those organizational entities that aren’t in the military departments or combatant commands.

 

DCSA continues to highlight the effectiveness of finding potential issues before a traditional Periodic Reinvestigation (PR) would have identified them. CE alerts flag issues, on average, at seven years and one month for Secret clearance holders and two years and seven months for Top Secret clearance holders – both well earlier than the traditional five-and-ten-year reinvestigation timelines. Among the issues flagged are criminal conduct (1), financial considerations (2), alcohol consumption (3), and drug involvement (4). It’s worth noting that just because an issue is flagged under CE, doesn’t mean it triggers a security clearance denial or Statement of Reasons. CE alerts trigger a review, which may or may not trigger an investigation, which then may or may not result in a SOR.

 

The rapid advancement of CE over the past year has been possible based on improvements in the National Background Investigation Services(NBIS). While 2019 saw relatively flew applicants enrolled in CE, 2020 has ushered in a significant wave of new enrollees. Thus far, 87,803 security clearance PRs have been deferred into the CE program – that’s 87,803 PRs that didn’t need to begin, thus opening up investigative time and resources to allow DCSA to eliminate the clearance backlog and improve timeliness.

 

CE vs. CV The terms CE and Continuous Vetting (CV) are often used interchangeably, but are both defined specifically in the Executive Orders that codify security clearance policies. As the DCSA website states, “Per EO 13764, CE will evolve into the Continuous Vetting (CV) model in support of Personnel Security Clearance (PCL) reform efforts.”

Arrests of some protesters and rioters made by federal authorities in Portland, Oregon, including one arrest caught in a video that’s gone viral, are the work of a new federal task force, according to a published report.

The task force has its roots in a June 26 executive order from President Donald Trump titled, “Protecting American Monuments, Memorials, and Statues and Combating Recent Criminal Activity,” a July 1 Department of Homeland Security news release said.

In response to the executive order, Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Wolf announced the DHS had established the Protecting American Communities Task Force.

“DHS is answering the President’s call to use our law enforcement personnel across the country to protect our historic landmarks,” Wolf said in a statement. “We won’t stand idly by while violent anarchists and rioters seek not only to vandalize and destroy the symbols of our nation, but to disrupt law and order and sow chaos in our communities.”

The release said the PACT will “conduct ongoing assessments of potential civil unrest or destruction and allocate resources to protect people and property.”
