To whom it may concern,
We understand that a very small but loud group of people have taken serious offence by the Unwoke Platform.
– We don’t care.
We just find it jaw-dropping that so many people in your particular line of work (destruction) have been shouting about establishing hiring processes where the ethnicity of a person is masked for years. Now when we’ve created it, your heads and mouths suddenly explode about how racist it is. How dedicated to your principles are you really? (Rhetorical question)

Please remove your statements linking us to "white supremacists", calling us "dumb" and deserving of being "trolled to death". Fail to do so and you will have a nice defamation suit coming your way very soon. Trust us, serving you would be an absolute joy.

Thank you for the unimaginable level of support. The amount of love letters are in the thousands and we’re working diligently to reply to each and everyone of you.
Some people out there including some media outlets, would like to have you believe that we've had a “rocky start”. We not only disagree, that statement is blatantly false.
First of all, we weren’t hacked. We were "XSS-attacked" because a schmuck (me) forgot to sanitise the user inputs. That little mistake allowed people with nefarious intentions to input small harmless scripts into the fields where you would normally enter things such as your username. Those harmless scripts are then able to display “funny images” that cover the entire screen of a web-page making it appear as if a website has been taken over completely. It wasn’t.
Secondly, the email “leak” wasn’t really a leak. It was the same schmuck passing the email addresses through to our email delivery system on the client side instead of server side. Any developer knows that’s not how it should be done and it was the next item on my todo list to fix. And I for one had zero clues that bands of raging orcs were approaching so I went out for lunch with my family and when I got back, the entire house was on fire.
Luckily, (and to the detriment of others) the email addresses they found exposed were from fake accounts created by me. Its standard practice in our industry to at least create some fake accounts to make it seem like there’s some activity on a completely new and unknown platform. Because no one understandably ever wants to be the first user to sign up on an empty platform.
Mistakes like this happen when you build something new, really fast. I built the entire Unwoke platform over a weekend to see if a concept like this would stick. But I could never in my wildest of dreams have imagined that we'd get this level of attention from the get go. So stay tuned. A lot of new and exciting updates are coming very soon!
– So what have we learned?
Nothing. It only confirms what we already knew. That the people shouting are incapable of creation and only capable of destruction. And that a platform like Unwoke is desperately needed and desperately feared by the same people who seek to destroy it.
– Is the platform secure?
Unequivocally yes.
