We still do.

The other night a cop followed me for about 6 blocks. All the way home. Then he pulled up behind me in my driveway and asked, "Do you have a motorcycle license?"

I took off my helmet and said, "EXCUSE ME?!"

He repeated, "Do you have a motorcycle license?"

I said, "Of course I do."

Then we both looked at each other for a few seconds.

Then he asked, "Can I see it?"

I said, "Why?"

He gave me some b.s. about how I turned a corner with my foot dragging.

I said, "That's not illegal."

He looked surprised that I challenged his demands for ID and said, "Yeah but it's not safe."

I said, "So what?" and turned away and walked inside.

He drove away.

We don't have to ID ourselves to anyone unless we are criminals. But, they do have to ID themselves… We The People aren't under the authority of random tyrants.
