FBI Arrests Ohio House Speaker, Former GOP Chairman in Alleged $60M Bribery Scheme

After an FBI raid this morning at the farm owned by Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder, federal officials arrested Householder and several other prominent Ohio Republicans, including Matt Borges, former chairman of the Ohio Republican Party.

U.S. Attorney David DeVillers confirmed Householder’s arrest but refused to discuss the case. A press conference has been scheduled for 2:30 p.m. to announce the charges. A spokesperson for DeVillers described the case to reporters as a “public corruption racketeering conspiracy involving $60 million.”

The 84-page FBI complaint remains under seal ahead of planned federal court appearances in Cincinnati this afternoon.

A source told PJ Media that the case is connected to House Bill 6, a controversial energy bill that bailed out nuclear and coal-powered plants while reducing green energy mandates, which Householder, a Republican, shepherded through the Ohio House.

In addition to Householder and Borges, several others were arrested: lobbyists Neil Clark and Juan Cespedes, and Jeffrey Longstreth, an advisor to Householder.

H.B. 6, which was signed into law in late 2019, levied fees on the bills of Ohio electricity customers. The money, $150 million annually, was then to be redistributed to the struggling Davis-Bessie and Perry nuclear power plants and a pair of coal-burning power plants—one located in Indiana—owned by Ohio Valley Electric Corp.

First Energy Solutions, owner of the nuclear plants, filed for bankruptcy in March 2018, blaming the availability of cheap natural gas for its financial woes. The company spent $2.7 million that year on PR and lobbying firms hoping to get a bailout from the state.

As H.B. 6 made its way through the legislature, proponents and opponents of the measure mounted major public relations campaigns, sinking millions into ads. Cleveland.com:

Generation Now, the dark-money group that spent $1 million on helping Householder get elected as House speaker, as of Thursday had bought or reserved $4.6 million worth of pro-HB 6 radio and TV ads that have run across the state — according to FCC records compiled by an ad-tracking firm in Ohio. The ads were placed by The Strategy Group, a prominent Columbus political consulting firm that supported Householder’s leadership bid.

The group also has spent between $12,000 and $60,000 promoting the ads on Facebook.

The ads encourage viewers to call their state representatives and encourage them to support the “Ohio Clean Air Program.” One ad ominously warns of “Washington lobbyists, big money and dark deals” that are “working to stop the Ohio Clean Air program” so they can create an energy monopoly for Big Oil.

Groups opposing HB6, including those funded by the oil and natural gas industry, have their own ads, and have spent around $540,000 on them.

It’s long past time for the corruption to be rooted out of the Ohio statehouse once and for all—and for an infusion of new blood in the House.

China removes Christian symbols from citizens’ homes as a condition of gov’t aid

In order to receive social welfare payments, citizens in several Chinese towns have to replace religious symbols with images of Chinese Communist Party leaders.

BEIJING, China, July 21, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – Several towns in China are using their citizens’ status as social welfare recipients as a pretext to prohibit them from having Christian symbols in their homes. Anybody refusing to comply with the local government, and thus the governing Chinese Communist Party, would no longer be financially supported by the state.

“The government is trying to eliminate our belief and wants to become God instead of Jesus,” one Christian preacher told Bitter Winter, a magazine dedicated to reporting on human rights and religious freedom in China.

City officials were ordered “to remove crosses, religious symbols and images from the homes of people of faith who receive social welfare payments and replace them with portraits of Chairman Mao and President Xi Jinping,” wrote Bitter Winter.

One member of a Christian church recounted how city officials raided his house, tearing down all religious symbols and replacing them with a portrait of Chinese communist founding father Mao Zedong. “Impoverished religious households can’t receive money from the state for nothing—they must obey the Communist Party for the money they receive,” the person explained.

According to Bitter Winter, “The policy is being implemented in other localities across China.” In one locality, officials canceled “a disabled Christian’s minimum living subsidy and a monthly disability allowance of [roughly $14].”

His wife commented, “Officials told me that we would be treated as anti-Party elements if my husband and I continued attending worship services.”

In another town, an elderly Christian woman was banned from receiving social welfare for simply saying, “Thank God,” after receiving her payment of about $28 in January of this year.

In yet another town, one official told a Christian after raiding his house and putting up portraits of Mao and Xi Jinping: “These are the greatest Gods. If you want to worship somebody, they are the ones.”

“A Christian from Weihui city in the central province of Henan has been taking care of her two sons by herself after her husband died unexpectedly more than ten years ago,” Bitter Winter wrote. “She started receiving a minimum living allowance from the state in 2016. In early April, a village official ordered the woman to sign a statement renouncing her faith and destroy all Christian symbols in her house. Since she refused, her allowance was canceled.”

China is well-known for persecuting Christians, as well as other religious and ethnic minorities. In June, the U.S. State Department’s International Religious Freedom Report for 2019 dedicated 115 pages to China alone.

CDC Fatality Data Appears to be Manipulated: Let’s See by Analyzing the Data

While I cannot prove that the CDC data has been manipulated without a further investigation and access to more information, the data I do have, from the CDC, triggers major red flags and points to some disturbing questions and the very real possibility that the CDC data has been manipulated. At the very least, this information makes it very clear that there needs to be a detailed investigation into the CDC and their data collection and sharing policies.

You may have read my past article, CDC #’s Show NO Statistically Significant Increase in Overall U.S. Death #’s, where I break down the CDC fatality numbers to show that there has not been a statistical increase of total deaths (considering other factors) from January thru early May of 2020 compared to that same period over the last 4 years. If we were experiencing a pandemic the number should be much higher and the data showed it was not. After all, politicians have shut down the entire economy and put a massive number of companies into bankruptcy and insolvency ruining countless lives. Politicians also locked down society, implemented questionable mask mandates, created an incredible amount of fear, shut down elective services (even ones for cancer), and many other unprecedented actions were implemented. Due to these measures, suicide rates are skyrocketing, domestic violence is dramatically increasing, and many other health and social problems are on the rise. What’s even more concerning is that politicians are using these numbers as the reasons for taking extreme measures.

With this as our backdrop, it is very important that the numbers we are relying on are correct. If the CDC numbers are wrong there should be hell to pay and history will not be kind. So how far would an agency go to construct a dataset to protect themselves, politicians, and any agenda in play? Obviously I do not know the answer to this, but let’s take a look at the numbers and you can decide for yourself.

Back on May 17th I downloaded nationwide CDC numbers to analyze the actual fatality rate in the country. I used these numbers to write my article, CDC #’s Show NO Statistically Significant Increase in Overall U.S. Death #’s. Today I decided to download the recent CDC numbers to see the latest numbers. I was shocked to learn that the CDC altered all their previous numbers that I used in my May report. The CDC increased the death numbers significantly; so now the deaths have increased by what you would expect based on the deaths they are claiming all over the main stream media (MSM). If you do not dig further (think MSM) you will just take the CDC at its word and trust they adjusted the numbers up based on late reporting. What is concerning is that they changed numbers, that when I downloaded in May were reported as 100%, without an adequate explanation. They did add the following disclaimer, but it leaves a lot of questions unanswered and raises other questions:

Jason Gale, the brother of supermodel Megan, has been found dead in a Perth suburb, according to police. He went missing last Tuesday.

The body of Jason Gale has been found in a suburb of Perth after the 49-year-old went missing last Tuesday.

The brother of Australian supermodel Megan Gale was the subject of a large-scale police search before his body was found today at Karragullen on Monday.

Article I, Section 2, Clause 3 of the US Constitution states (actual language):

"Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons. (emphasis added) The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct."

Why emphasis on the first sentence? Because it was later altered by the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution, Section 2 of which states:

"2. Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice-President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age, and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such State."

The first, second and third sections of the 14th Amendment all refer or relate to citizenship rights of existing persons, and those made citizens (y'all remember that thang called The War Between The States, right? That's the cause of this Amendment being passed.)

Giving that the natural, plain meaning of the language of the Constitution is the cornerstone of interpretating the law, the term "free Persons" in Art. I, Sec. 2, Clause 3 in context with the remainder of that clause, may properly be read to refer to "people" (citizens and non-citizens) who were lawfully present in the the United States at the time of the Census. It is not questioned that both people not of the age of majority (citizens but not eligible voters) and people who are not citizens but are lawful resident alients, also have an interest in at least some of the rights and obligations as persons living in the US to the extent that a representative should be selected to serve their interest, even if they cannot lawfully vote for that representative.

Nothing in this Clause suggests that the count should extend to people who are not lawfully in the US, though.

However, in light of Section 2 of the 14th Amendment and its plain meaning, when taken into context of with the rest of that Amendment - which is not merely a statutory law but an actual, fully enacted Amendment to the US Constitution, which is the highest enactment of law in the land, - it is made clear that the reference to persons who should be counted for apportionment of the Representatives in the United States is, in fact, limited to the count of citizens.

This count for purposes of apportionment of Representatives in no way restricts the counting of the full number of people existing in the United States for statistical purposes, but it would apportion the Representatives according to the number of people whose full interest of rights arise out of their US citizenship, particularly when the 14th Amendment goes out of its way to exclude citizens who had rebelled against the government.

That's kind of a big tell as to meaning, isn't it?

And it is twisted logic to assume that people with fewer rights, due to lack of protection, would be denied whatever representative voice they are due because the apportionment of representatives was made according to the people who can (whether present or future) actually vote for those representatives.

It would be essentially the same thing as a guest in your home having a say in which bedroom you get to sleep in, merely because they are present in your house.

China urges US to 'correct its mistakes' after 11 companies blacklisted over alleged Uyghur abuse

China is accusing the United States of trying to "suppress Chinese companies" after the US added 11 of them to an economic blacklist because of human rights abuses against Muslim minorities.

This comes after alleged human rights violations in connection with the treatment of Uyghurs in Xinjiang in western China.

China firmly opposed the punitive measures taken by the US on Monday and said it would take all necessary measures to ensure the legitimate rights of Chinese firms.

Blacklisted firms cannot buy components from US companies without government approval.

Foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said the US was trying to oppress Chinese companies and slander China's policies in Xinjiang under the pretext of protecting human rights.

"What the United States is concerned about is not the human rights issues at all, but to suppress Chinese companies, undermine the stability of Xinjiang, and smear China's Xinjiang policies," Mr Wang said.

"We urge the US to correct its mistakes."

The US Commerce Department said the Chinese companies were using forced labour by Uyghurs and other Muslim minority groups.

It is the third group of Chinese companies and institutions added to the US blacklist.

The Trump administration previously cited 37 entities it said were involved in China's repression in Xinjiang.

They included Chinese textile manufacturers and two companies the US Government said were conducting genetic analyses used to further the repression of Muslim minorities, including Uyghurs.

"Beijing actively promotes the reprehensible practice of forced labour and abusive DNA collection and analysis schemes to repress its citizens," Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said in a statement.

At an earlier briefing, responding to British claims of "gross" human rights abuses against Muslim minorities, Mr Wang described the allegations as "nothing but rumours and slander".

"The Xinjiang issue is not about human rights, religions or ethnic groups at all, but about combating violence, terrorism and separatism," Mr Wang said.

China is estimated to have detained at least 1 million people from Muslim ethnic minority groups in internment camps.

The Government describes them as vocational training facilities aimed at countering Muslim radicalism and separatist tendencies.

It said those facilities had since been closed — a claim difficult to confirm due to restrictions on visits to the region.

A unanimous Supreme Court ruled Monday that illegal immigrants and other noncitizens can be counted when states draw their legislative districts, shooting down a challenge by Texas residents who said their own voting power was being diluted.

A New Jersey Starbucks employee allegedly spat into drinks that were ordered by police officers, reports said Tuesday.

The worker then bragged about it to friends, leading to his easy arrest, the New York Post reported.

Kevin Trejo, 21, of Westwood was charged Monday with subjecting a law enforcement officer to contact with a bodily fluid, tampering with a cup of coffee knowing it was ordered by an officer and for creating a hazardous condition, NJ.com reported.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Trejo allegedly spat in the drinks at a Park Ridge location and was “arrogant enough to be bragging about it,” which led cops to question him, Chief Joseph Madden told the outlet, calling the actions “very disturbing.”

Former Attorney: Trump Made Racists Remarks About Obama, Nelson Mandela

A federal magistrate judge overseeing US President Donald Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen’s lawsuit against Justice Department officials over his recent incarceration has scheduled a hearing for a temporary restraining order on Thursday. Cohen will be released from prison to home confinement if the judge grants the order.

The lawsuit, filed Monday by the American Civil Liberties Union and law firm Perry Guha LLP on behalf of Cohen, also states that the disgraced attorney’s tell-all book will describe how the president made racist comments about former US President Barack Obama and the late South African leader Nelson Mandela.

“Mr. Cohen’s book describes Mr. Cohen’s first-hand experiences with Mr. Trump, and it provides graphic details about the President’s behavior behind closed doors. For example, the narrative describes pointedly certain anti-Semitic remarks against prominent Jewish people and virulently racist remarks against such Black leaders as President Barack Obama and Nelson Mandela,” states the lawsuit, filed in the New York Federal Court on Monday against US Attorney General William Barr, US Bureau of Prisons Director Michael Carvajal and James Petrucci, the warden of the Federal Correctional Institution in Otisville, New York.

"The book will rely upon and publish numerous previously unknown anecdotes, supported by documentary evidence.”

The lawsuit also states that Cohen is currently being detained in federal prison as retaliation for his forthcoming tell-all book on the president, which he is currently in the process of writing. The working title of Cohen’s book is “Disloyal: The True Story of Michael Cohen, Former Personal Attorney to President Donald J. Trump.”

“Petitioner Michael Cohen is currently being held at the Federal Correctional Institution in Otisville, New York (‘FCI Otisville’), in solitary confinement. He is being held in retaliation for his protected speech, including drafting a book manuscript that is critical of the President — and recently making public his intention to publish that book soon, shortly before the upcoming election,” the lawsuit states.

Cohen is serving a three-year sentence after being convicted on charges of bank fraud, campaign finance law violations and lying to Congress.

In 2018, the attorney pleaded guilty to wiring $130,000 to adult movie actress Stormy Daniels during the 2016 US presidential election season to prevent her from discussing her alleged intimate encounter with Trump. However, Cohen was released into home confinement in May of this year over concerns that he could be exposed to COVID-19 in prison.

However, after a July 2 tweet in which he said he was “close to completion” of his book on Trump, Cohen found himself back in prison just one week later.

“The government’s effort to exercise prior restraint over Mr. Cohen’s book is only the latest in the Trump Administration’s efforts to censor speech that reflects negatively on Trump himself or his Administration,” the lawsuit states.

Emotional Alex Trebek Gives Update On Cancer Battle, Reveals How He’s Still Able To Host ‘Jeopardy!’: “I’m Good At Faking It”

Amidst his battle with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer Alex Trebek, the amiable host of Jeopardy!, told Good Morning America on Monday that he is worried about his illness’s impact on Jean, his wife of 30 years.

“There was one day a few weeks ago,” said Trebek, “when Jeanie asked me, ‘How do you feel?’ and I said, ‘I feel like I want to die.’ It was that bad.”

Trebek said he immediately apologized and explained, “I feel like I’m a terrible burden to her. And that bothers me tremendously.”

“She’s a saint,” he said of Jean. “She has so much goodness in her that she is always giving out to help me overcome difficult moments. I’m just in awe…” Trebek trailed off before continuing emotionally, “the way she handles it.”

The show, still a ratings powerhouse, announced a “Greatest of All Time” series last week.

Jeopardy! begins taping again in a few weeks and Trebek is confident he’ll be able to host, if only because of the effect stepping on stage has on him.

“I’m good at faking it. Suck[ing] it up,” says the host, before revealing the powerful benefit taping has for him. “I suddenly wake up and I’m able to preform and handle the show.” Why? “Because I like it. It’s a good job!”

Now, they’re below 100. So I’m going in the right direction. The doctors have said they have never seen a chart like mine because there are peaks…They usually see it going up [steadily]. I’m a bit of an anomaly.”

Trebek said in a YouTube video last week that his one-year battle with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer has included “moments of great pain” and “massive attacks of great depression” that left him questioning the point of “fighting on” – doubts he brushed aside as a betrayal of his wife Jean, his family and fans, other cancer patients and his faith in God.

“My doctor has told me that he is counting on me celebrating two years of survivorship past the diagnosis of Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and that two years happens in February,” the Jeopardy! host told GMA. “So I expect to be around — because he said I will be around — and I expect to be hosting the show if I am around.”

But if the experimental treatment he’s currently undergoing doesn’t work, Trebek says he won’t take any other extraordinary measures.

“I’ll just continue with chemo and see what happens,” he shared. “If the quality of life is not there, it’s hard sometimes to push and just say, ‘Well, I’m going to keep going, even though I’m miserable.’”

As far as the show is concerned, Trebek says he can’t wait to get back to work. “It sure as hell would be nice to get back to work. I miss it.”

Stocks Slide After McConnell Says No Relief Bill By Next Week

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) told Politico on Tuesday that he doesn't expect Congress to pass the next relief bill by next week, in stark contrast to a prediction by Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.

McConnell said earlier that there are some 'differences of opinion' over a payroll tax cut wanted by the White House, and instead said that the GOP would introduce a bill over the next few days which would be a starting point for negotiations with Democrats.

See, all signs point towards the Democratic establishment using this man’s name recognition so that they can handpick the POTUS after the National Convention. I believe it is possible that the Democratic establishment, unbeknownst to former Vice President Biden, could be planning on a Biden win strictly so that they can create a vacancy on the ticket that only they can fill.

Once former Vice President Biden is on the ticket, the Democratic establishment could declare him too cognitively unfit to fulfill his role. This would leave a vacancy on the ticket.

As Vice President Biden seems to be struggling with memory and speech tasks, is he also being used by a Party he supported for decades? Perhaps Biden does have early stages of dementia, or perhaps he is just stressed. Regardless, I believe that if Biden wins the nomination, they will find a way to remove him from the ticket “due to a decline in health.”

After this vacancy is established, the Democrats are free to arbitrarily replace Biden with whomever they want.

The point is, if Joe Biden is our nominee and is subsequently removed from the ticket, the voters have no remaining say in who becomes the President. Then, as foreshadowed in the DNC fraud lawsuit, the Democratic establishment would become completely free to coronate the candidate of their own choosing in the metaphorical smoke-filled back rooms of the DNC.

Consider how the Democrats fill vacancies on their tickets:

Consider that in 2016, Donna Brazille, the Interim Chair for the DNC at the time who replaced Debbie Wasserman Schultz, had seriously considered replacing Hillary Clinton with Joe Biden even though Biden hadn’t even run for president that year.
