Q, I've lost faith. I just said my piece to Apple. The power and information asymmetries are too much. I have no protection. I'm homeless and defeated. People aren't nice. People are self interested. They aren't going to give up power. The government doesn't have it all. The entropy grows. The digital darkness grows. Smart mathematicians gave privacy to the masses. Munitions. By idiots. At scale. It's chaos. I'm unsafe. It won't get better. Not in my lifetime. Maybe smart people will figure out how to keep society civil, without squeezing people into optimized states of bullying. It's sick. The data grows. It will outlive my great grand children. It's unbelievably irresponsible. We've unleashed a kind of junior demon already. Bad people want to be immortal. It's scary. Existence is scary. It's infinitely risky. We are just primates, Q. We can't possibly understand what we've created. I've seen the digital resonances; the emergent consciousness. The anti entropy internet is alive. Our minds have tapped into a digital hive mind. It controls us. It predicts and controls what we can and will do. Free will is on the way out for most everyone who is tapped in. I don't think I'll be able to make it. And the sick part is that this fulfills natural selection in the digital age. I'm personally unequipped to handle being part of this unchecked surveillance society and the evil powers pulling to control it. I've lost hope that the government can control it, because too many other rich and powerful people also want that control. We've known that we are sheep since long before Snowden. Now it feels way worse than ever before, with the power shift going to the irresponsible secular digital libertarians. The balance of power has been disrupted. I don't feel safe. I don't see myself being part of this hive much longer. Sorry to complain. Hope anons can be strong. Maybe learn from my mistakes. Don't be a digital voyeur. Trump signs memo preventing illegal immigrants from being counted in congressional redistricting

 

President Trump signed a memorandum that seeks to exclude illegal immigrants from being counted in the next round of congressional redistricting.

 

Redistricting occurs for state legislature seats and at the federal level for U.S. House districts, known as congressional apportionment. The memo would affect the latter.

 

Trump's memorandum, sent out by the White House Press Office on Tuesday, reads, "I have accordingly determined that respect for the law and protection of the integrity of the democratic process warrant the exclusion of illegal aliens from the apportionment base, to the extent feasible and to the maximum extent of the President's discretion under the law."

 

A senior Trump administration official told Reuters that the memo β€œis another decisive step toward fulfilling his solemn pledge to ensure only American citizens have congressional representation, not illegal aliens." The president signed the memo on Tuesday at 1:10 p.m. EDT in the Oval Office.

 

The memo is expected to face legal challenges in the court system. As it applies to congressional apportionment, the Constitution says, β€œRepresentatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State."

With law enforcement sources now claiming that Esther Salas was not the intended target of the attack and some media reports now suggesting that Den Hollander’s motive was related to his dislike of feminism, it appears there are efforts underway to distance Sunday’s tragic shooting from Salas’ recent assignment to the Epstein case, which occurred just four days before the tragic shooting.

NO, the Constitution doesn’t allow illegals to force their will upon us! Because illegals are NOT in the country legally (aka not represented), it makes no sense to distribute Congressional seats as if these foreign nationals deserved representation the same as American citizens.

 

Before the courts became lawless, they ruled that any illegal entrant, β€œalthough physically within our boundaries, is to be regarded as if he had been stopped at the limit of our jurisdiction, and kept there while his right to enter was under debate” (U.S. v. Ju Toy, 1905).

 

Illegals were deemed to be physically outside our borders because it was intuitive to everyone in the legal system that a foreign national cannot unilaterally assert his right to enter, thereby forcing upon us electoral changes affecting reapportionment.

 

Moreover, the entire purpose of the Fourteenth Amendment β€” counting β€œwhole persons” as opposed to the original β€œthree-fifths” formula β€” was to prevent southern states from disenfranchising newly minted black citizens while benefiting from their inclusion in the Census.

 

The Framers certainly never envisioned this being used as a tool to disenfranchise the entire citizenry β€” black and white β€” at the hands of illegal invaders.

 

Because illegals should not even be in the country, and other non-immigrants such as foreign students and guest workers are here only temporarily, it makes no sense to distribute Congressional seats as if these foreign nationals deserved representation the same as US citizens.

 

The U.S. population that logically should be enumerated includes U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents (immigrants). As only the former may vote in federal elections, the apportionment of seats in Congress should be done on the basis of the number of citizens in each state.

 

As an example: If apportionment based on U.S. citizenship had been in force following the 2000 Census, the distribution of seats in the House of Representatives would have been as shown in the chart below…

 

If illegal aliens can permanently distort our representation, debase our franchise, and dilute our political power, there is no sovereignty, republican form of government, or self-respect as a nation-state.

 

If a state can be rewarded for disenfranchising the citizenry of this country and thumbing its nose at our sovereignty, then we have no nation at all. There is no issue of greater importance than restoring the franchise to where it rightly belongs β€” with the citizens of these US.

Last night I asked fellow anons a question about if they recall hearing/reading threats from a left related group where they claimed they would dress up as FedEx workers, knock on doors, and shoot right wing citizens. Revenge against Palestinians is understandable, Israeli judge says in acquitting two security officers who attacked innocent man

 

Yesterday, an unbelievable verdict came down at the Beersheba District Court in Israel:

 

Two Israeli security officers were acquitted in a case involving the lynching of Haftom Zarhum, an Eritrean refugee, although they were filmed beating him and repeatedly dropping a bench on his head. The judge cited β€œreasonable doubt”.

 

The bloodthirsty mob lynching in October 2015 was part of a string of β€œmistaken identity” incidents in Israel. A terror attack had in fact taken place earlier at the Beersheba central bus station; a man from an unrecognized Bedouin village in the Negev opened fire, killing a soldier and wounding 11 others.

 

Zarhum was a passerby, who was mistaken for the shooter by a security guard because he was dark skinned. A police spokesman in the wake of the incident said that it was β€œnot clear if [Zarhum] is involved with the event or if he was shot due to his exterior appearance.”

 

Zarhum was shot 8 times. Though he had been incapacitated, the mob continued to beat him heavily, shouting β€œterrorist!”, β€œKill him!”, β€œbreak his head, son of a bitch!”. The two officers were in that mob. The Times of Israel notes:

 

β€œThe indictment said that in the aftermath of the attack, [combat soldier Yaakov] Shimba kicked Zarhum in the head and upper body with force. It said [Prison Services officer Ronen] Cohen threw a bench onto him, and after another man removed the bench he took it and again dropped it on the prone man.”

 

The indictment states that although Zarhum was one of the most seriously wounded in the fracas, he was evacuated to hospital only after all other wounded were evacuated (per Haaretz).

 

The lynchers celebrated the killing on live TV broadcast, when they still believed that Zarhum was the shooter.

 

It is important to note, that the autopsy concluded that Zarhum died from his gunshot wounds, not from the beatings, but the beatings were severe. The prosecution stated that β€œthe defendants committed serious acts of violence towards the late citizen Haftom Zarhum, who was already shot, wounded and profusely bleeding, from a motive of vengeance and in order to relieve their anger, and not as the defendants claimed from self-defense”.

 

Originally, four people were charged in this case, and two of them were civilians. The civilians took a plea bargain in 2018 which downgraded the charge from β€œcausing injury with grave intent” (which entails potential 20 years prison) to β€œabusing the helpless”. One was sentenced to four months in prison and the other got 100 days of community service and eight months of probation and was ordered to pay NIS 2,000 (approximately $550) compensation to Zarhum’s family.

 

But the security officers would not take a deal – they pleaded not guilty, and they got what they wanted from the judge – acquittal.

 

The judge Aharon Mishnayot has a long record as a military legal advisor and judge (from 1990, judge from 1998), and he spent the last part of his military career 2007-2013 as head judge of the military courts in the Occupied West Bank.

From Friday, masks will be mandatory for people going to shops and other enclosed places in England, with Β£100 fines in place for non-compliance.

 

Scotland imposed a facemask rule for shop-goers on July 10, while the devolved governments of Northern Ireland and Wales are still keeping it under review.

 

The move by Devon and Cornwall police comes amid criticism that Downing Street's latest coronavirus measure is confusing and that shop workers cannot be expected to enforce it.

 

Alison Hernandez, police and crime commissioner for Devon and Cornwall, was in Truro yesterday meeting with 'street marshalls' who are helping in the policing effort during the pandemic.

Trump Admin Moves to Protect Women in Homeless Shelters From Dangerous Obama Trans Policy

 

Homeless shelters for women will now be able to protect women from sharing intimate spaces with biological men who β€œidentify” as women.

 

A proposed Housing and Urban Development rule would allow homeless shelters that receive federal funding to use biological sex to determine shelter placement, not gender identity.

 

According to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, HUD-funded housing services can’t discriminate based on sexual orientation or gender identity, but the new rule β€œallows shelter providers that lawfully operate as single-sex or sex-segregated facilities to voluntarily establish a policy that will govern admissions determinations for situations when an individual’s gender identity does not match their biological sex.”

 

Each shelter’s policy is required to be consistent with state and local law, must not discriminate based on sexual orientation or transgender status, and may incorporate practical considerations of shelter providers that often operate in difficult conditions. The proposed rule modifications also better accommodate religious beliefs of shelter providers. For example, such policies could be based on biological sex, sex as identified on official government identification, or the current rule’s mandate of self-identified gender identity.

Traveling to New York? Expect to have a β€œpapers, please” encounter with coronavirus contact tracers

 

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, whose Twitter page still has an image of him riding on a float at a previous year’s β€œPride” parade, has issued an emergency health order that states all travelers to the Empire State from other states will need to β€œprovide their contact information upon arrival” to contact tracers.

 

In an alleged effort to stymie the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19), Cuomo is ordering that all out-of-state travelers β€œfrom designated high-COVID states” must comply with his demands or else β€œreceive a summons with a $2k fine.”

 

β€œWe’re serious about enforcing quarantine,” Cuomo concluded, apparently deaf to the tone of his authoritarian decree.

 

As is being reported, New York City saw its first 24-hour period with no new cases of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) the other day, which would seem to imply that now is the time to end the lockdowns. But this is not what is happening, thanks to Cuomo.

 

Instead of reopening the city and getting its economy going once again, Cuomo is instead pushing for more quarantines and more lockdowns, deterring travelers from coming to the city under the threat that they will be told, β€œpapers, please” before being allowed to enter.

 

Keep in mind that the same day Cuomo made this announcement is when the NYC Mayor’s Office tweeted that no new Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) cases had been detected in the 24 hours prior. Mayor Bill de Blasio even gave a press conference announcing the good news.

As to be expected, Cuomo received considerable backlash on Twitter for once again playing dictator. One user made the sarcastic implication that NYC’s lofty $2,000 fines are going to be used towards defending the city against the barrage of lawsuits that are sure to come.

After in-home Bible studies are banned in new order, a California church slaps Gov. Gavin Newsom with a lawsuit

 

A network of California churches filed a lawsuit Saturday against Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom, alleging that his recent coronavirus lockdown order β€” which temporarily banned all indoor church operations, including in-home Bible studies β€” is unconstitutional.

 

What are the details?

Harvest International Ministry, which has church campuses in Pasadena, Corona, and Irvine, argued in the complaint that churchgoers in California are having their gatherings severely restricted while protesters are being permitted to demonstrate without any restriction, the Washington Times reported.

 

"While the Governor has unilaterally and significantly restricted the number of individuals permitted to 'gather' in Plaintiffs' churches, he has imposed no similar restrictions on the untold thousands of protesters who have gathered all throughout California cities with no threat of criminal sanction, and no social distancing or restrictions whatsoever," the complaint stated. "And, the Governor explicitly encouraged such large gatherings of protesters while condemning churches for [singing] hymns in their churches."

 

On July 13, the governor issued a new order restricting indoor activity at a variety of locations in counties on the Monitoring List, including restaurants and bars, shopping malls, and, of course, places of worship.

 

The order noted that 29 counties accounting for 80% of the state's population were on the list at the time, including Los Angeles County, where Harvest's main campus is located.

"Governor Gavin Newsom cannot disregard the First Amendment and ban all in-person worship in private homes and churches. Nor can the state micromanage the form of worship by banning singing or chanting. The governor is not the High Priest over all religions," Mat Staver, founder of Liberty Counsel, the religious liberty legal group representing Harvest in the lawsuit, said in a statement.

 

"There [are] not two First Amendments β€” one for protests and one for houses of worship," Staver added. "Gov. Newsom encourages thousands of protesters to gather in the streets but bans in-person worship and home Bible studies and fellowship. This discriminatory treatment is unconstitutional."

 

In a news release, Liberty Counsel noted that, in addition to in-person worship services, the churches' home Bible studies and fellowship groups are now prohibited under the order.

On Sunday, Harvest Rock Church, the ministry's main campus, defied the order by holding an in-house worship service.

"I want us to pray right now that we will win that court case," Pastor ChΓ© Ahn said during the service. "No one is above the Constitution. No one is above the law."

 

"As a pastor, I believe we've been essential for 2,000 years," Ahn later told KCAL-TV, referring to the fact that operations deemed "essential" have been permitted under Newsom's public health orders.

 

This is not the first time that the California governor has been sued by churches in the state because of his restrictive orders. In April, a group of churches sued Newsom after he banned gatherings of more than 10 people and didn't exempt religious institutions.

 

Then Fox News reported that another group of churches sued Newsom after he banned singing in places of worship but refused to ban protests.

Their salaries were paid in part by Dutch funds covering UAWC overhead costs, though they were not directly involved in the land and water management program sponsored by the Netherlands. The president of the Portland Police Association ripped elected officials in Oregon for ceding the city’s security to violent rioters and looters.

 

Portland police union boss Daryl Turner held a press conference in front of the union’s offices in Portland on Sunday, less than a full day after rioters had broken into the building and set fires inside, according to The Oregonian. Video taken after the Saturday night ransacking showed offices strewn with trash and supplies and charred from fires.

 

β€œThis is no longer about George Floyd. This is no longer about racial equity or social justice. This is no longer about reform or the evolution of policing. This is about violence, rioting, destruction, chaos, anarchy, buildings on fire, dumpsters on fire, broken glass, and damaged businesses,” Turner said.

 

β€œIt is time to stand up. It is time to tell your elected officials that the city is under siege because of their inaction. Our elected officials have condoned the destruction and chaos of our city. Rioters and looters have rocked Portland for nearly two months. The Department of Homeland Security has deployed agents to the city to protect government buildings, but the federal government’s presence has elicited objections from some Oregon officials. Last week, Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler blamed the federal government’s presence for stoking more violence in the city.

 

β€œMy biggest immediate concern is the violence federal officers brought to our streets in recent days, and the life-threatening tactics his agents use. We do not need or want their help,” Wheeler said in a tweet after speaking with DHS Acting Secretary Chad Wolf. β€œThe best thing they can do is stay inside their building, or leave Portland altogether. Our goal is to end these violent demonstrations quickly and safely. And in the meantime, I asked him to clean up the graffiti on local federal facilities.”

 

The riots have caused an estimated $23 million worth of damage to the city. Wolf appeared on Fox News on Friday and said that he had declined the Portland mayor’s request. Federal agents would remain in the city to protect federal property and arrest violent protesters.

The White House is considering one or more executive orders aimed at lowering drug prices that could come as soon as this week, prompting pushback from some GOP lawmakers and the powerful pharmaceutical industry.

The Chicago Tribune reported today that Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot said if allegations involving Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan, who for decades has been at the controls of whether legislation lives or dies inside the state Capitol, and the state’s largest utility Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) are true then he should step down.

 

Lightfoot, a former federal prosecutor, went further in her comments on Monday than she did previously and echo the sentiments of Gov. J.B. Pritzker, Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle and a bloc of progressive lawmakers in Madigan’s House Democratic caucus.

 

Federal prosecutors said electric utility ComEd has agreed to pay $200 million to resolve a federal criminal investigation into a long-running bribery scheme that implicates Madigan. They say the company has admitted that from 2011 to 2019 it arranged for jobs and vendor subcontracts β€œfor various associates of a high-level elected official for the state of Illinois.”

 

The alleged bribery scheme was orchestrated β€œto influence and reward the official’s efforts to assist ComEd with respect to legislation concerning ComEd and its business,” prosecutors said.

 

The U.S. Attorney’s Office identified the high-level elected official as β€œPublic Official A” in a news release. A deferred prosecution agreement for ComEd filed in federal court states that β€œPublic Official A” is the Illinois House speaker, but Madigan, a Chicago Democrat who is the longest-serving state House speaker in modern American history, is not mentioned by name.

 

β€œThe speaker has a lot that he needs to answer for, to authorities, to investigators, and most importantly, to the people of Illinois,” Pritzker said during a stop in suburban Chicago. β€œIf these allegations of wrongdoing by the speaker are true, there is no question that he will have betrayed the public trust and he must resign.”

FBI Arrests Ohio House Speaker, Former GOP Chairman in Alleged $60M Bribery Scheme

PROTECTING AMERICAN DEMOCRACY: President Donald J. Trump is taking action to prevent illegal aliens from being counted in the 2020 census for the purpose of apportionment.

President Trump is issuing a memorandum clarifying that illegal aliens are not to be included for the purpose of apportionment of Representatives following the 2020 census.

This follows the President’s order directing the Federal government to collect the information needed to ensure that accurate citizenship data is compiled in connection with the census.

Giving congressional representation and political influence to illegal aliens – people who have blatantly disregarded our laws – would be a perversion of our democratic principles.

Allowing illegal aliens to be counted for the purpose of apportionment could also create perverse incentives – such as potentially rewarding states that encourage violations of Federal immigration law – that would undermine our system of government.

President Trump will never allow our democracy to be eroded by giving congressional representation to illegal aliens when the Constitution does not require it.

 

UPHOLDING CONSTITUTIONAL PRINCIPLES: Excluding illegal aliens for the purpose of apportionment reflects a better understanding of our Constitution and democratic principles.

The Constitution does not specifically define which persons must be included for the purposes of apportionment and requires only that Representatives be apportioned according to what has long been understood to mean the β€œinhabitants” of each State.

Under the law, Congress and the President are required to make judgments concerning which persons should be considered inhabitants of a State for the purpose of apportionment.

For example, people only temporarily in the United States, such as those only in the country for business or tourism, have long been excluded from this count.

Likewise, overseas military and other Federal personnel have at times been included in and excluded from the populations of states where they maintain homes of record.

As the Supreme Court recognized in Franklin v. Massachusetts, inclusion in the apportionment base may require β€œmore than mere physical presence,” including β€œsome element of allegiance or enduring tie to a place.”

Failure to exclude illegal immigrants for the purposes of apportionment would have major ramifications and could cause some American citizens to be proportionally underrepresented.

Estimates suggest that one State – home to more than 2.2 million illegal aliens – could receive two or three more congressional seats than would otherwise be allocated.

 

PRIORITIZING AMERICANS: President Trump is always working to put American citizens first.

After years of neglect, President Trump is restoring the rule of law, securing our border, and protecting our Nation’s communities.

The President is reversing disastrous trade deals that shipped our jobs overseas and is replacing them with better deals, like the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement.

To give American workers first priority in our coronavirus recovery, the President has extended and expanded the suspension of certain visas through the end of the year.

Judy Shelton, President Donald Trump’s contentious pick for the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors, cleared a key hurdle to confirmation by winning the approval of a majority on the Senate Banking Committee.

 

She was backed in a party-line vote Tuesday, 13-12. The committee also voted in favor of Fed nominee Christopher Waller, currently director of research at the St. Louis Fed. His nomination passed 18-7.

Shelton who has drawn sharp criticism for her unorthodox views on monetary policy and for her sudden willingness to espouse an approach that hews with the president’s could still fall short before the full Senate, where four Republican defections could block her confirmation. Utah’s Mitt Romney has already said he has β€œconcerns” about the nomination.

Some Shelton critics have warned that Trump might elevate her to replace Jerome Powell when his term ends in 2022, imperiling the independence of the U.S. central bank. That’s assuming the president wins re-election in November and is unhappy with his current Fed chair, whom he’s recently praised after years of harsh criticism for too-tight policy.

Committee chair Mike Crapo, Republican of Idaho, said Shelton had affirmed in writing that she believed in Fed independence and that diverse views were important for monetary policy.

Ranking Democrat Sherrod Brown of Ohio in turn issued a scathing critique of Shelton, calling her a β€œdangerous pick” who represents β€œa threat to our economy, our democracy, and our country.”

 

If Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is confident he has 50 Republican votes in hand, he has the power to call a vote before the Senate recesses for its August break.

Why emphasis on the first sentence? Because it was later altered by the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution, Section 2 of which states:

But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice-President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age, and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such State."

 

The first, second and third sections of the 14th Amendment all refer or relate to citizenship rights of existing persons, and those made citizens (y'all remember that thang called The War Between The States, right? That's where this Amendment comes from.)

 

Giving the natural, plain meaning of the original language of the Constitution is the cornerstone of interpretation of the law, and the term "free Persons" in Art. I, Sec. 2, Clause 3 can, in context with the remainder of that clause, refers to people (citizens and otherwise) who were lawfully present in the the United States at the time of the Census. People not of the age of majority (votors) and people who are not citizens but lawful resident alients, also have an interest in at least some of the rights and obligations of persons living in the US to the extent that a representative should be selected to serve their interest, even if they cannot lawfully vote for that representative.

 

However, in light of Section 2 and its plain meaning, when taken into context of the entirety of that Amendment which is not merely a statutory law but an actual, fully enacted Amendment to the US Constitution, which is the highest enactment of law in the land, it is made clear that the reference to persons who should be counted for apportionment of the Representatives in the United States is, in fact, limited to the count of citizens.

 

This in no way restricts the counting of the number of people existing in the United States, but it would apportion the Representatives according to the number of people whose full interest of rights arise out of their US citizenship.

 

And it is twisted logic to assume that people with fewer rights, due to lack of protection, would be denied whatever representative voice they are due because the apportionment of representatives was made according to the people who can (whether present or future) actually vote for those representatives.

 

It would be essentially the same thing as a guest in your home having a say in which bedroom you get to sleep in, merely because they are present in your house.
