Hate to say it but this seems a little fishy at this point. The GoFundMe page was created 4 days ago, which means the incident probably occurred days before that. No story in the news. You would that the family would have contacted local news media and it would have made at least their local news.
I hope it is true. And I hope, if it is, they get this story out in the media asap, if they can.
