I think that a good way to stop the nonsense is that a 'site' that pretends to be a political forum should be disallowed from providing any 'search' of the political content.
And mutliple 'indexes' ought to be available.
and people should be able to put themselves on lists that they use, and share.
and no one should block the access to the content on these independant lists.
I think as part of whatever settle ment finally dismantles these monopolies stranglehold, it will have to involve decoupling the 'indexing' and the 'searching' of public content, and the access of it, from the officers of a random corporation in offices that are bought and sold to the highest bidders.
