Heartland Express : Public Secondary Offering Price Announced
Heartland Express, Inc. ("Heartland") (NASDAQ: HTLD) today announced an agreement pursuant to which an underwriter has agreed to purchase 3,260,870 shares of Heartland's common stock from a selling stockholder, which will be offered to the public at a price per share of $20.50. In addition, the underwriter has a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 489,130 shares of common stock from the selling stockholder. Heartland will not receive any proceeds from the offering.
Morgan Stanley is the underwriter for the offering.

Michael Gerdin, Chairman and CEO
Heartland Express is led by Michael Gerdin, who started his career with Heartland in 1983 as a teenager working in the truck wash bay. From 1998 to 2001, Mike was President of A&M Express, a wholly owned subsidiary of Heartland Express. In 2001 Michael was appointed to Vice-President of Regional Operations, and in 2006 he was appointed to President of the Company. Mike earned his BA degree in Business Management from Luther College.
