-Postscript 9/11/2016 I have noticed plenty of conspiracy theories, including claims this interview happened in front of a green screen, was broadcasted on Deutsche Welle TV and claims that this interview happened on 9/11/200.
Neither of these claims is accurate. The interview happened on this very location on 9/13/2001 at the beginning of the N24 German TV news show at 9pm MEZ, 3pm EST and was broadcast live in Germany.
On location satellite truck services were provided by EBU - the European Broadcast Union - on the Westside of Manhattan.
Only vehicles of rescue crews were allowed beyond this point.
