Here, there, everywhere edition. Thanks, eBakes.
Thanks, Anon. I've been keeping an eye on the docs as well. I sure hope the court says NOT to her and just posts the docs anyway. It has to be EOB there by now, right?
โmotherโ
That's pretty strange! Why the word "mother" has to be redacted, I wonder. A child or someone's mother.
Yes, the court didn't agree but anyway references a "nonparty" so probably not significant. Just stall tactics. I wonder why those redactions are there in the first place when most are references to documents and page numbers. And we shouldn't be able to see them if they are meant to be real redactions!
I think you might be looking at an older doc. The last one is #1088. So is this #1089 you are referring to? I don't know there is confirmation that the court talked to her lawyers. Doesn't seem like the judge is going to play around with these last minute desperate tactics. I hope not!
You mean you really don't know? Or do you just want us to ask what YOU think is happening around the world right now?
You are exactly right. This is a big key we have. Re the meatier stuff, I sure hope they do the same as well, kek. Most people probably won't think to check. I am sure glad you caught it!
They don't get it, heh. They fall for it Every. Single. Time.
Riddle me this: If states were able to delay their primaries because of muh COVID, then who would have the authority to delay a national election for the same reason?
I love it. Seems quite reasonable to me. The answer to my Q is obviously Congress, so that just goes to show that POTUS did an end run around any plans to delay the election. As many of us here have been saying, this is not going to be a normal election no matter how you slice it. We lived through hanging chads and so bring it onโฆ what's a little more chaos in the scheme of things? But what if there are (cough swing cough) states that have new outbreaks "at the last minute" and they decide to delay. Wouldn't that be the same as a state delaying a primary election?
Agree, and so does a simple majority of both houses suffice? Has it ever been done? I don't think so.
And what if there is a last minute outbreak in one or two states? Say the day before the election, people are flooding hospitals (just a hypothetical, I'm posing) and no polling places are opening. Could a governor delay a national vote without Congress?
Yea, don't fall for it, Anon. I took a look and was just going to say this is not what we are waiting for.
THIS IS NOT THE MAXWELL DOCS WE ARE WAITING FOR!
It's from August 2019.
