Interesting interview with the author.
The book really doesn't deal with Trump at all, it seems, despite the title. And that's one of the big flaws. The Republican party HAS somewhat screwed people in the way the author describes, but the books seems not at all to address how the Trump campaign focused on different issues. And of course, it seems the book does not at all address how the plutocracy manipulates and screws those inclined to vote for Democrats as well.
The upshot is that it seems the book has many accurate facts and puts certain pieces together well, while nonetheless utterly distorting the big picture.
