Ammonia nitrate doesn't need an oxydizer. All it needs is a secondary explosive charge, ie, a block of tnt to set it high order, otherwise, it will just burn very intensely.
Take it from someone who blasted roads through mountains and used the stuff.
I want to see an aerial view of ground zero. My bet is, there's going to be a very very very deep crater, just like there was at the chinese chemical factory.
