Thirty-eight?” (Mitch answers “thirty-nine!”). “Yeah, you all come out here the same age with the same problems” Curly tells him. “You spend a whole year getting knots in your rope, and you think two weeks out here will untie them for you! None of you get it! Do you know what the secret of life is?” Mitch shakes his head “no”. “This” Curly says, raising up his index finger. Mitch jokes, ‘Your finger?” Curly clearly states, “One thing-just one thing! You stick to it, and everything else don’t mean SHIT!” Mitch says, “That’s great! What is the one thing?” Curly smiles, riding away, says “that’s what you’ve got to figure out!”
