VP Mike Pence landing in Des Moines to launch 'Farmers and Ranchers for Trump' coalition

Air Force Two carrying Vice President Mike Pence will touch down at the Iowa National Guard in Des Moines on Thursday afternoon for his fourth trip to Iowa this year. Pence is scheduled to attend a series of events around the Des Moines area. First, Pence is scheduled to travel to the Elwell Family Food Center on the Iowa State Fairgrounds to launch the "Farmers and Ranchers for Trump" campaign coalition at 1 p.m. He is expected to deliver remarks highlighting the Trump administration's focus on manufacturing jobs and the passage of the USMCA trade deal with Mexico and Canada. The advisory, issued by President Donald Trump's reelection campaign, included a warning to attendees about the "inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19" that exists in public places where people gather. Next, Pence will travel to Living History Farms in Urbandale to speak at a 3 p.m. event hosted by Heritage Action for America, an arm of the conservative Heritage Foundation. The group is launching a "Fight for America" campaign to combat what it calls "the radical Left's lawless extremism in battleground states." At the Urbandale event, Pence is scheduled to deliver remarks supporting law enforcement along with acting Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Wolf, U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst and Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds.
