Posting this to see if I can get actual debateโ€ฆ

Many anons cheer when Uber/Lyft get slammed because they serve the interests of the deep state.

But I think there are deeper issue here that get ignored.

Obviously, Vox Day is right when he says that the "gig economy" de facto lowers the price of labor. And I agree that that is in fact a bad thing.

But what he ignores, and what many ignore, is that SALARIED EMPLOYMENT increases personal dependence on employers. This takes MANY forms, perhaps the deepest being "health insurance" which for no logical reason is tied to employment for most Americans. But also and more obviously, the ability to engage on social and political issues is in fact HIGHLY tied to one's "employment status". Among anons who post regularly here, I suppose most either have NO salaried employment, or they take GREAT PAINS to hide their real work here from their employers.

I think the GIG ECONOMY is actually a GREAT thing, if done rightly. It spurs a spirit of creativity and exporation, and it reinforces the connection between actual WORK and recompense, as opposed to reinforcing the connection between CONFORMITY and recompense.

Convince me I'm wrong. (Saved some meme on that but can't findโ€ฆ)

Obviously we've got to stop the H1B crap too.

If corporations didn't have the option of "importing" servile workers, online "gig" tech work would be more available to Americans (and salaried jobs too).

But seriously this fuckery doesn't help anyone -how does India benefit if their top workers "must" leave India.? Let them stay there and help India.

>I am fine with killing.

>I have resigned myself to that fact, if we have to survive. But hatred doesn't have to be the driving force to do it.

This. Recognizing that there is sometimes a need to kill does NOT require hatred.

In only VERY few situations I've faced life/death decisions, but I think it has helped me grasp what those in wars experience. If you KNOW you've got to "shoot to killl" the guy in the enemy uniform then you'd better learn to do that quick. But it doesn't require hatred.
