They started as a site for whistleblowers during the 2008 financial crash. They have a handful of journos who write Op eds - you can tell by the style which is humorous and informative. The rest is aggregation.
They are not as edgy as they used to be and I haven't seen a true market insider whistle-blow for a long time.
