Look at these excess death graphs from Euromomo.eu. In 2015 and 2016 not much happened. But in 2017 and 2018 which is when Dr. Martin believes the SARS-CoV-2 escaped the labs, we see sharp increases.
Many people have hypothesized that an even worse virus got out in Wuhan, and the dramatic and brutal clampdown on that city stopped it from spreading. That is why China had so little problem outside the Wuhan area. But earlier versions of the virus that had been used in testing, were still circulating in the world. When the WHO announced the Pandemic, they expected that the Chinese had just put on a show in Wuhan and that the real dangerous strain had been released. But in fact, there is an internal coup in China, and they destroyed/contained the worst strain that could have killed millions. This is why the death count estimated in Wuhan by observers was so high. It was real.
For the rest of us, COVID-19 was the3rd waveof the Coronavirus. As expected it is evolving to be less and less lethal. There will be no 4th wave because A) we are maintaining hand washing and 6 foot distancing in public most of the time, B) many people are taking prophylactic substances like vitamins and minerals, if they are in a susceptible group.
