Why One Bank Thinks The World Is "On The Cusp Of A New Era Characterized By Disorder"

Back in July, one of the most respected credit strategists on Wall Street caused stunned gasps across the financial world, when he admitted that he is "a gold bug." Deutsche Bank's Jim Reid may have been forever cast out of the ranks of polite, non tinfoil hat/conspiracy theory society when he said that in his opinion, "fiat money will be a passing fad in the long-term history of money", a shocking admission (if one that many of his peers secretly harbor) for most financial professionals who are expected to tow the Keynesian line and always believe in the primacy of fiat and its reserve currency, the US Dollar.

BP, Major Wall Street Banks Want Carbon Pricing Policy In U.S.

Supermajor BP, as well as many major Wall Street banks, recommends that the U.S. set a price on carbon in a report commissioned by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which recognizes that climate change could pose a risk to the financial markets.

The report from CFTC’s Climate-Related Market Risk Subcommittee – which includes, among others, executives from BP, ConocoPhillips, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, Vanguard, Allianz Global Investors, and the Environmental Defense Fund – says that “Both physical and transition risks could give rise to systemic and sub-systemic financial shocks, potentially causing unprecedented disruption in the proper functioning of financial markets and institutions.”

“This report begins with a fundamental finding—financial markets will only be able to channel resources efficiently to activities that reduce greenhouse gas emissions if an economy-wide price on carbon is in place at a level that reflects the true social cost of those emissions,” said the authors led by CFTC’s subcommittee chairman Bob Litterman.

The report was the first of its kind from a U.S. regulator, the CFTC, whose climate-related risk subcommittee recommends pricing carbon emissions.

Such action would need Congress to act. The report is non-binding, but it is the first time that a regulator on Wall Street says climate change could threaten the stability of the financial markets.

“Climate change poses a major risk to the stability of the U.S. financial system and to its ability to sustain the American economy,” the report said.

“The central message of this report is that U.S. financial regulators must recognize that climate change poses serious emerging risks to the U.S. financial system, and they should move urgently and decisively to measure, understand, and address these risks,” the authors said.

However, a major hurdle to addressing these risks remains the fact that the financial system lacks comparable and consistent data and analytical tools to measure and manage climate-related financial risks, according to the report.

Palestinian uproar as Israel puts loudspeakers in Al-Aqsa Mosque

Israel soldiers installed loudspeakers over the northern and western walls of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem on Wednesday.

The speaker system allows Israeli forces to further disturb and violate Muslim worshippers in the mosque by making announcements and instructions to those in the compound.

It is the third set of loudspeakers Israeli authorities have set up since 2017, enabling them to broadcast to the northern side of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound from the inside and outside, in parallel with the one run by the Islamic Waqf (endowment) in charge of the religious site.

Jordan has condemned the move as part of what it described as “continuous Israeli violations”.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Deifallah Fayez, said the Israeli forces’ “absurd practices” at the UNESCO world heritage site are “irresponsible and constitute a provocation of the feelings of Muslims around the world.”

He urged the international community to shoulder its responsibility and exert pressure on Israel to halt its attacks that violate international law.

The former grand mufti of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Ekrima Sabri, told Middle East Eye that Israel seeks to impose its sovereignty over the mosque and undermine the Islamic Waqf.

He said: “The occupation’s measures against Al-Aqsa are invalid and illegal. We do not recognise them. We hold the Israeli government responsible for violating the sanctity of Al-Aqsa, because it is directly responsible for any aggression and it is the one that protects the settlers storming the site, encouraging them to increase their numbers.”

Al-Aqsa Mosque is the world’s third-holiest site for Muslims. Jews call the area the Temple Mount, claiming it was the site of two Jewish temples in ancient times.

Intra-Afghan Peace Talks Scheduled to Begin Saturday

Afghan government releases last six prisoners sought by Taliban

Disputes over prisoner release in Afghanistan were finally resolved Thursday, with the last six prisoners sought by the Taliban freed, and the long sought intra-Afghan peace talks formally scheduled for Saturday, in Qatar.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will be in attendance for the opening ceremony of the talks, and is reported to be flying to Qatar. The US would not be expected to participate directly in these talks, which are meant to sort out power-sharing for the Ghani government and the Taliban in post-war Afghanistan.

The talks were meant to happen quickly after the US-Taliban deal in February, but prisoner releases took a long time, with the Ghani government denying that they’d promised the releases, and the process of getting some released arduously slow. As recently as the past couple of days they were down to just a handful of prisoners.

Not everyone is happy, however, with the French Foreign Ministry issuing a statement of protest over the release of prisoners who had killed French citizens. Two of the six released today were in that category.

After nearly 20 years of war, a lot of the prisoners were accused of a lot of things, and the Ghani government considered many “high risk.” After they’d released thousands of prisoners, however, they were not willing to risk the peace talks over the last few, and finally released everyone.

The peace process is meant work out a lot of issues between the Taliban and government, but with Ghani having downplayed the chances of working out a formal power-sharing deal, there remains a risk that the early talks won’t amount to much.

This risks a resumption of violence, but perhaps more realistically will for the Ghani government to rethink matters. The US continues a drawdown at a steady pace, and the government team will be in a much stronger position if they aren’t negotiating after the US pullout is done.

Russia ready for honest dialogue with US on election interference — top diplomat

According to the Russian foreign minister, Washington has been disregarding Moscow's offers to hold cybersecurity consultations for several years now

MOSCOW, September 11. /TASS/. Moscow is ready for honest dialogue with Washington regarding the accusations of interference in the US elections, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday during a press conference on the outcomes of the talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

"We are open for honest dialogue [regarding interference in the US elections]. However, for the dialogue to be honest, it is necessary to formulate one’s claims clearly, so that they can be understood," he said.

Lavrov noted that Russia had repeatedly offered the US to discuss "the absolutely baseless accusations" on US election interference. "We offered to relaunch cybersecurity consultations. <…We offered to make an official bilateral political statement by Russia and the US in which we both categorically undertake not to meddle in each other’s domestic affairs. This has been going on for several years. The Americans continue to slack off in all of these areas, still demanding that we stop the unlawful interference in their domestic affairs," the minister said.

The minister recalled that several years ago, the US approved a law in support of Ukraine, in accordance with which the US Department of State must spend $200 mln a year on direct financing of Russian non-governmental organizations and on working with the Russian civil society. "The US itself does not see anything untoward in promoting its interests via illegitimate means on the sly or even approving laws openly. <…If it’s not interference in domestic affairs, then I don’t know what it is," he stressed.

The minister also pointed out that in the run-up to the presidential election planned for November 2020, US politicians are often asked about who meddles in their election more: Russia, China or Iran. "According to the estimations of US officials, so far, the People’s Republic of China comes first in this competition. Of course, we regret coming in second. We are used to being number one," Lavrov quipped.

Fauci disagrees with Trump that US rounding 'final turn' on pandemic

Anthony Fauci on Friday said he disagrees with President Trump that the country has rounded "the final turn" on the COVID-19 pandemic, and warned Americans not to get complacent heading into the fall.

Fauci, the federal government's leading infectious disease expert, was responding to comments made by Trump during a press conference on Thursday, where he defended his comments made to Bob Woodward about deliberately downplaying the severity of the pandemic.

Trump said the U.S. was "rounding the final turn. And we're going to have vaccines very soon, maybe much sooner than you think."

Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said he disagrees with Trump's assessment, noting that if Americans aren't careful, the pandemic could worsen.

"I have to disagree with that, because if you look at … the statistics, they are disturbing. We're plateauing at around 40,000 cases a day. And the deaths are around a thousand," Fauci told MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell.

Fauci said he hopes there is not a post-Labor Day surge of cases like there was following Memorial Day and July 4th, because the country's infection rate is already too high.

"When you have a baseline of infections that are 40,000 a day and you have threats of increased test positivity in certain regions … what we don't want to see is going into the fall season, you don't want to start off already with a baseline that's so high," Fauci said.

When asked about the largely maskless crowd at Trump's outdoor rally in Michigan on Thursday night, Fauci noted that just because an event is outside doesn't make it safe.

"If you're outdoors and you're crowded together and you don't have a mask, the chances of respiratory transmission of a virus clearly are there," Fauci said. "Just because you're outdoors doesn't mean you're protected, particularly if you're in a crowd and you're not wearing masks."

Fauci, who previously said he doesn't think Trump was trying to distort the reality of the pandemic, admitted that there have been "disagreements" between himself and the White House about messaging.

Trump vs. The Military Industrial Complex: Military Coup Danger Escalates

At this week’s Labor Day conference, President Trump threw down the gauntlet in opposition to the Anglo American military industrial complex when both inspired hope in many onlookers that the age of America’s “endless wars” might finally come to an end, but also fear that an emergence Military Coup danger was nigh. This danger was enunciated by State Senator Richard Black (a former Colonel and intelligence officer) during a September 5 conference.

In his powerful speech which won the ire of top Pentagon brass, Trump called for finally bringing America’s troops home, and ending the “endless wars” saying:

“I’m not saying the military is in love with me; the soldiers are. The top people in the Pentagon probably aren’t, because they want to do nothing but fight wars so that all of those wonderful companies that make the bombs, and make the planes, and make everything else, stay happy. But we’re getting out of the endless wars…. Let’s bring our soldiers back home.”

For those devout Trump haters who are unwilling to accept the possibility that there has been an active coup run against the President for the past 3.5 years, or that the oncoming economic meltdown (unleashed under the cover of COVID-19) and general civil war danger within the USA might usher in a coup d’etat… think again.

The fact is that America has come closer than many think to total military dictatorship under Wall Street/London controls on more than one occasion, and unless the lessons of history are quickly internalized, then not only will this happen again, but it will accompany a new world war from which very few lives rich or poor would be spared.

The Fascist Economic Miracle Solution of 1932

1932-1934 was a period of history that saw the world torn down into a deep depression which the people of Europe and America were told by their media, could only be solved by the “economic miracle solution” of a new system of governance known as “fascism”.

The British governing class, led by the royal family were fully backing Nazism, and Sir Oswald Mosley’s British Union of Fascists was rising faster than ever. All of these movements came in different flavors but were united under a cold utilitarian philosophy of government, a devout love for eugenics (the racist “science” of population control) and addiction to City of London/Wall Street money.

NFL Aired 1-Hour Televised Social Justice Special on NBC

Whelp, who would have seen this coming. Virtually everyone with common sense, that’s who. The NFL is once again sowing racial discord and divide as they continue to drive faux outrage of racism in America.

The jokers over at the NFL and NBC aired a one hour special on Social Justice on Wednesday night. Social Justice warriors everywhere are rejoicing in their safe spaces America.

We will devote the entirety of our one-hour program on NBC next Wednesday, Sept. 9, to providing a platform for our players and allies to discuss the work that we are doing together to advance social justice and equality. Additional details on this program to be announced at a later date.

The move comes amid a slew of other social justice initiatives the league has unveiled this week. In addition, the league will, “facilitate meetings between with state and local elected officials and leaders of law enforcement, to discuss steps that can be taken to reduce conflict and improve relations between law enforcement and members of the community.”

The league will also, “continue to sponsor non-partisan educational programs to ensure that our players, staff, and families know how to register, how to obtain absentee voting material, and are able to vote on Election Day.”

The league concluded the announcement of their social justice initiatives by expressing how “proud” they were of their players’ social justice efforts.

“We are proud of our current and former players for the extraordinary work that they do in our communities. Club-owners, and employees are proud to support and work alongside the players to make our country better, fairer, and more equal.”

I personally didn’t watch the special because I didn’t care, and I have no more time for black millionaires telling me about racial inequality.

Lukashenko to visit Moscow for talks with Putin on September 14

The spokesman said that no signing of papers is planned

MOSCOW, September 11. /TASS/. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will visit Moscow for talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on September 14, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists Friday.

"Indeed, Lukashenko’s visit will take place on Monday, September 14, it will be a working visit. He will have talks with President Putin," the spokesman said, adding that no signing of papers is planned.

The spokesman did not specify where exactly the negotiations would take place. "We will inform you [about the venue] in time," Peskov said, also promising to inform the media about the main results of the talks.

On September 3, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin visited Minsk, where he met with Lukashenko. Lukashenko said then that he intends to dot the i’s on all sensitive issues between the two countries during the upcoming visit to Moscow.

Peskov disclosed previously that Putin and Lukashenko would discuss a wide array of trade and economic issues, including Belarusian debts, energy prices and the integration of the two countries.

This warning was not passed on to authorities, which could have saved thousands of lives.

Odigo has a feature on its service that allows the passing on of messages through a search feature based on nationality, such as Israeli. Knowing these two particular Jews were forewared, it is very likely they passed the message on to other Jews considering that out of the 4000 Israeli Jews believed to work in the trade towers, only ONE died that day.

Odigo has offices in New York, and in Herzliya, Israel. Herzliya happens to be the Head Quarters of Mossad. Do the math.

Odigo was later bought up by another Israeli company called Comverse. The CEO of Comverse was Kobi Alexander, "dual" Israeli-US citizen, with connections to Mossad. He has been charged on several counts of fraud.

Kamala Harris Still Supports Group Bailing Out Violent Criminals Charged With Felonies

While Democratic Nominee Joe Biden has finally begun to condemn the rioting and violence seen from the radical left in recent months, his Vice Presidential choice, Kamala Harris, seems to not have been briefed on the campaign position pivot.

Harris publicly asked her followers to donate to the Minnesota Freedom Fund in a June 1 tweet—an organization that has raised tens of millions of dollars to bail out violent offenders charged with felonies.

“I want to be very clear about all of this: Rioting is not protesting. Looting is not protesting. Setting fires is not protesting. None of this is protesting. It’s lawlessness, plain and simple. And those who do it should be prosecuted,” Biden said. “Violence will not bring change, it will only bring destruction. It’s wrong in every way.”

Despite ending his statement with blaming President Trump for the violence, Biden did finally condemn the radical left’s terror.

Harris appears to need a briefing from the decision-makers in the campaign.

Other criminals bailed out by the Harris-supported MFF, which has raised over $35 million in donations after Floyd’s death according to Fox9, include Christopher Boswell, a convicted rapist, and Darnika Floyd, who is charged with stabbing a friend to death.

Reuters found that at least 13 members of the Biden campaign publicly showed financial support for the MFF.

New Israeli Attack Targeted Syria’s Aleppo, Military Complex Allegedly Hit (Video, Photos)

Early on September 11, a series of Israeli airstrikes hit the northern Syrian governorate of Aleppo, where sensitive military facilities are located.

A military source told the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that Israeli warplanes had fired several missile “salvos” at the outskirt of Aleppo’s city center.

“Our air-defense means repelled the aggression, shooting down most hostile missiles,” the source told the state-run agency.

The SANA and Syria’s News TV released a video and several photos showing the interception of a number of missiles over Aleppo.

According to several opposition sources, the Israeli strikes targeted the al-Safirah defense factories, 21 km to the south of Aleppo city. The complex, where Syria stored some of its chemical weapons before the 2013 deal, is now developing and producing conventional ammunition for the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).

On the August 31, the Israeli military carried out a series of strikes on the Syrian capital, Damascus, and the country’s southern region. The strikes targeted Iranian positions as well as air-defense systems of the SAA.

The Israeli attacks on Syria are part of a campaign meant to pressure Iran into withdrawing its forces from Syria. The campaign has been a failure, so far.

United States Says Russia Already Tested Projectile-Firing Satellite Weapons In Orbit

Russia has successfully tested projectile-firing satellite weapons in orbit two times, the United States says.

“Now, there is a lot for our teams to discuss on this space dialogue, of course. While our efforts are aimed at finding constructive paths forward for space security, we will certainly emphasize our great concern with ongoing Russian – as well as Chinese – efforts to weaponize the space domain. To be clear, Moscow and Beijing have already turned space into a warfighting domain, as I’m sure you’ve been following, especially in light of the U.S. Space Command’s announcement yesterday about Russia having conducted another on-orbit weapons test on the 15th of July.

So even while both Russia and China engage in diplomatic gamesmanship over what they claim is “space arms control,” in other words, both are fielding new anti-satellite weapons in order to hold U.S. and allied space services at risk. As SPACECOM’s most recent announcement makes doubly clear, Russia, in what I would say is an amazingly hypocritical repudiation of its own diplomacy against the deployment of “weapons in outer space,” Russia has already tested projectile-firing satellite weapons in orbit not just once, but now twice.

The U.S. considers unfettered access to and freedom to operate in space to be a vital interest, and we are committed to defending such space access and deterring any harmful interference with or attacks upon critical components of our space architecture,” Assistant Secretary of State for International Security and Non-Proliferation Christopher Ford said during the press briefing on July 24.

Since then, the sides have achieved little real progress in the ongoing negotiations on the demilitarization of space. This is mainly due to the different goals of the sides. The United States seeks to limit the development of anti-satellite weapons by China and Russia, but is not going to halt the development and deployment of own military space projects.

Lest we forget, one day before the 9/11 attacks [as well as on the morning of 9/11, the dad of the sitting President of the United States of America, George Herbert Walker Bush was meeting none other than Shafiq bin Laden, the brother of the alleged terror mastermind Osama bin Laden.

It was a routine business meeting on September 10-11, no conflict of interest, no relationship to the 9/11 attacks which allegedly were carried out on the orders of Shafiq’s brother Osama, no FBI investigation into the links between the Bush and bin Laden families.

What is presented below is a factual account. Confirmed by the Washington Post, “fellow investors” of the Carlyle Group including Osama’s brother Shafiq bin Laden and Dubya’s dad former President George H. W. Bush met in the plush surroundings of New York’s Ritz-Carlton Hotel on September 10-11, 2001. Their business encounter under the auspices of the Carlyle Group was unfortunately interrupted on September 11 by the 9/11 attacks.

It didn’t help that as the World Trade Center burned on Sept. 11, 2001, the news interrupted a Carlyle business conference at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel here attended by a brother of Osama bin Laden [Shafiq bin Laden]. ASSANGE EXTRADITION: Lawyer’s Covid-19 Test is Negative; Trial Resumes on Monday Morning

The extradition trial of Julian Assange had been adjourned on Thursday morning amid fears that a member of the prosecution legal team may have been infected with Covid-19.

The trial of imprisoned WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assange to determine whether he will be extradited to the United States will resume on Monday morning after the Coronavirus test results for a lawyer representing the U.S. came back negative on Friday.

Judge Vanessa Baraitser had adjourned the case on Thursday after both defense and prosecution attorneys asked her to clear the courtroom until the test results were known.

The pandemic delayed the hearing in February until it resumed on Monday.
