long lag times when baking can make baker think new thread isn't being created when it is. 8chan had a lag as well but it was shorter than in 8kun.

"We ignore online conspiracies at our peril"

While disinformation has always affected politics, the appeal of conspiracy theories is particularly acute when many people are spending much more time alone and online. Such an environment make theories such as QAnon all the more seductive and dangerous. It rewards followers for their efforts in uncovering evidence that purports to support the group’s tenets by making them “bakers”, and fosters a sense of community with slogans such as, “Where we go one, we go all!”

Missed the part about rewarding followers by making them "bakers" - hilarious.

>are they going to let the fires overrun Portland?

It's possible. OR politicians are worse than useless - they take the completely wrong attitude about everything. Actually bring about worst case scenarios by framing all problems that way.

VID: ''Fire" Scientist explains why California wildfires are so explosive in recent years

Bottom line:

Nothing much here, just ABC pushing climate change agenda. "Fire Scientist" at UC Merced says while Cali has always had a lot of fires, "climate change" accounts for more explosive fires….but that cutting fossil fuels use won't create quick change. Does NOT explain why CC would make fires explosive…..
