Pentagon IDs Airman Who Died in Kuwait Military Vehicle Accident

A U.S. service member has died in a non-combat incident at an air base in Kuwait.

The Pentagon on Sunday said that Senior Airman Jason Khai Phan, assigned to the 66th Security Forces Squadron, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., died Saturday in "a single-vehicle, non-combat related accident while conducting a routine patrol outside the perimeter of Ali Al Salem Air Base," according to a release.

Two other airmen were injured in the same accident; both were sent to a medical facility at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, with "non-life-threatening injuries," according to military releases.

Phan, 26, from Anaheim, California, was supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, the Defense Department's campaign against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. According to Hanscom officials, his work while deployed included helping with preliminary criminal investigations, supporting base security, rendering emergency first aid and other base support functions.

He had recently been accepted as a military working dog handler and was supposed to attend the MWD Handler Course at Joint Base Lackland, Texas following his return from deployment. Phan was single and had no children, Hanscom officials said.

"Senior Airman Jason Phan was an exceptionally noble servant to the nation and his fellow Airmen," 66th Security Forces Squadron Commander Maj. Shane Watts said in a released statement. "His tireless commitment to master his craft made him a credible and reliable teammate in critical situations. But it was his genuine enthusiasm and selfless devotion to others that defined the depth of his character and inspiration to his peers and leaders. Jason lived with passion and shared compassion with purpose to everyone. He will be sorely missed by the Defenders here, and I'm extremely grateful for and humbled by his service. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and loved ones."

The cause of the accident is being investigated.

The Air Force operates alongside the Kuwait air force from the base, roughly 20 miles from the Iraqi border.

According to the Hanscom release, Phan had served with 66th Security Forces Squadron since Oct. 2018, and had been deployed to Kuwait since July.

In August, a Congressman, Rep. Vern Buchanan, R-Florida, called on the House Armed Services Committee to investigate a "disturbing rise in deadly training accidents" following a series of vehicle mishaps.

To date in 2020, 11 U.S. troops have died while deployed supporting Operation Inherent Resolve; seven of them died in non-combat incidents.

Sabo first hit Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. The idea came him weeks ago and after texting a few friends for feedback, the response was very strong. “Enough laughed for me to want to do it,” he said on Facebook. “Not to mention I thought it was a pretty damn good idea.”

Rupert Murdoch’s attempt to shakedown Facebook and Google is underwritten by Scott Morrison and the Liberal Party

Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp and the Scott Morrison government are conspiring in an attempt to shakedown Google and Facebook for hundreds of millions of dollars. To prove the first point, about Murdoch’s role, the draft legislation that the ACCC recommends the government should legislate was literally drafted by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp who submitted it to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) for them to countersign.

Murdoch does not run a media company in Australia as it has become nothing more than the media arm of the Liberal Party / National Party coalition. If Murdoch wants something from the politicians he gets it which is evident in the Google / Facebook shakedown. Even The Conversation website, which is owned by Australian Universities, has reported it as fact as per the 2019 article which started off:

In the above picture, Murdoch says he wants Facebook and Google to pay a fee to “trusted news publishers”. Well, that rules out all of Murdoch’s media which are the home of fake news such as News Corp papers, Sky News and Fox News and are all propaganda publishers and broadcasters.

The shakedown

To prove the second point, about the shakedown, when the draft legislation was announced regarding the federal government forcing Google and Facebook to pay Australian media companies Facebook said they would stop allowing links to be posted on Facebook linking to Australian media websites and immediately Australian media companies complained it was a threat.

When Facebook made its “threat” a week ago Prime Minister Scott Morrison came out talking tough and the SMH reported:

Australian media are complaining that Google and Facebook profit from their articles but don’t pay for it when they should but when Facebook says they will stop Australian media claim it is a threat when it is what they should want.

That says Australian media are in effect demanding that Google and Facebook promote their articles and websites and also pay for it. That is what I would call a shakedown.

You won’t read the facts as outlined in this article in the old media as they all have their hand out hoping to also profit from the Google and Facebook shakedown.

Why should Facebook pay media companies’ for putting a link to media companies articles which encourages people to click on the links and visit the media companies websites? It’s really free advertising for the media companies and the same goes for Google promoting the media companies’ websites in search queries.

When the ACCC announced they were holding an enquiry into forcing Google and Facebook to pay media companies I made submissions supporting it but on further reflection, it really is a “Murdoch Tax” the government have introduced to keep Rupert Murdoch happy and help try to save Murdoch’s News Corp which is in big trouble financially. The old media such as Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp and Kerry Stokes’ Seven West Media have already had their hands out for government grants totalling around $100 million already during the COVID19 crisis and the shakedown of Facebook and Google could be the ultimate prize.

US assured UAE it won’t back Israel annexation before 2024 at earliest, ToI told

UAE prioritized receiving assurances from Washington, sources say, given that Netanyahu has made clear he won’t advance controversial move without US support

NEW YORK — The Trump administration gave the UAE a commitment during normalization negotiations that Washington would not recognize Israeli annexation of parts of the West Bank until 2024 at the earliest, sources with direct knowledge of the matter have told The Times of Israel.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had for months promised to annex large parts of the West Bank as early as July 1, but that plan was officially suspended as part of the normalization agreement with the UAE. However, the sides have not formally provided an exact time-frame for how long the matter has been “taken off the table,” as US President Donald Trump put it last month.

According to three sources with direct knowledge of the normalization negotiations, Emirati officials, led by the UAE’s Ambassador to the US Yousef Al Otaiba, focused on seeking assurances from the US, rather than Israel, on the matter.

They were largely uninterested in receiving an Israeli commitment to an annexation freeze, the sources said, since they understood that Netanyahu would not move forward with the move without US support; the Israeli premier for months had said as much himself.

Rather, a key priority for the UAE during the negotiations was receiving a commitment from the US that it withhold its support for annexation if Netanyahu once again began promising to immediately carry it out, the sources said.

Trump administration negotiators, led by senior White House adviser Jared Kushner, agreed to set a timetable that was consistent with the one laid out for the Palestinians in the Trump peace plan, the sources said.

The Trump Administration’s “Peace to Prosperity” plan unveiled in January 2020 gives the Palestinian Authority a four-year window to engage with the peace plan, during which Israel is barred from expanding into areas earmarked under the plan for a future Palestinian state.

The UAE received a commitment from Washington that it would hold off on giving its blessing for Israeli annexation based on that same time-frame — that is, until January 2024.

“If Trump wins a second term, that [time-frame] covers [them] for most of it. If [Democratic nominee Joe] Biden wins, the issue won’t be relevant anyways because of his opposition to annexation,” said one of the sources with direct knowledge of the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

The Trump administration is hoping to use the final year of its hypothetical second term to “hold the Palestinians’ feet to the fire,” using the possibility of it otherwise backing annexation as a last piece of leverage to bring the PA to the table, another source said.

The White House declined to comment for this story, as did UAE officials in Washington and New York. Netanyahu has insisted that his plan to expand Israeli sovereignty to all the settlements in the West Bank and the Jordan Valley, in full coordination with the US, remains “on the table.”

A top Facebook official tweeted Saturday it would delete posts alleging leftist organizations started wildfires in Oregon and other Western states after the FBI said arson reports are "conspiracy theories," reported RT News.

"We are removing false claims that certain groups started the wildfires in Oregon. This is based on confirmation from law enforcement that these rumors are forcing local fire and police agencies to divert resources from fighting the fires and protecting the public," Andy Stone, policy communications manager at Facebook, tweeted on Saturday evening.

Stone continued, "This is consistent with our past efforts to remove content that could lead to imminent harm given the possible risk to human life as the fires rage on."

US School Teacher Accused of Brainwashing Kids Over BLM Cartoon Comparing Cops to Slave Owners, KKK

In recent months, the United States have seen significant developments in racial and social justice, in the wake of multiple incidents of police brutality against Black Americans involving white police officers, primarily encapsulated in the killing of Minneapolis resident George Floyd, a black man, who was asphyxiated by a white officer in May.

A Westchester County, New York, high-school teacher is in hot water after handing out to school kids cartoons that allegedly compare US police to slave owners and the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), a white supremacist hate group in the United States, the New York Post reported on Sunday.

The teacher, Christoper Moreno of Westchester’s Westlake High School, was said to have given students on their first day a five-frame cartoon panel with images related to the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement. BLM was created in part as a response to the killing of George Floyd, a black man, in May at the hands of white police officers.

In its first three frames, the cartoon panel depicts slave owners, along with a KKK member, kneeling on the backs of African-American men in shackles, with the KKK member holding a noose around a black man’s neck. The last two frames feature a sheriff and a police officer kneeling on the necks of handcuffed black men, an image resembling how Floyd was murdered. The last two frames were also captioned with a phrase pronounced by Floyd before he died: “I can’t breathe”.

“My daughter showed me the paper. I said, `What is this?! You’ve got to be kidding me!’” said Ania Paternostro, a Westlake HS student mom, according to the NYP. “This cartoon compares the police to the KKK. It’s an attack on the police.”

Paternostro told the newspaper that she “immediately” issued a letter to the office of the Mount Pleasant School district superintendent, Kurt Kotes, as well as to the school’s administration, in protest of what she characterized as a “brainwashing” of her children.

“Enough is enough,” Paternostro said. “This cartoon is disturbing. We have to respect the men in blue who protect us,” stated the US immigrant mom of two, a native of Poland. We don’t need a teacher brainwashing my kids. I’ll teach my kids about what’s right and what’s wrong.”

Paternostro’s daughter, Nicole, said that the teacher’s lesson plan was “disgusting”, and added that Moreno had offered a one-sided point of view.

“The cartoon was disgusting,’’ the school student reportedly told the newspaper. “It compared the police with all the terrible people in history. It was not fair. It wasn’t right.”

The teen complained that she was criticized on social media as being racist, after sharing Moreno’s history class plan, titled ‘European Colonization of America: Origins of American Society, Conflict, Power’.

In a letter to the parents of Westlake HS students, Kotes promised an investigation into the matter, according to the NYP.

“I have been advised that one of our High School teachers may have recently conducted a lesson that many have deemed to be highly controversial in the current climate,” Kotes reportedly said in his letter. “I want to assure the community that the District will be conducting a thorough investigation to determine what exactly occurred in this particular classroom and what, if any, action is to be taken under the circumstances to appropriately address the matter”.

Moreno has not yet commented on the matter, according to the newspaper.

According to the paper, the same cartoon was featured in an online assignment sent to students of the Wylie Independent School District in Texas. Texas state Governor Gregg Abbott called for the teacher responsible for the assignment to be fired.

Georgia Deputy Fired After Seen On Video Repeatedly Punching Man During Traffic Stop

An investigation is now underway after video showed two deputies punching and tasing the passenger of a car that was stopped for a broken taillight. Roderick Walker, who was a passenger in the rideshare, allegedly didn’t have an ID.

The Deputy who repeatedly struck Walker is being terminated from the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office by order of Sheriff Victor Hill for excessive use of force. The criminal investigation of this matter will be turned over to the Clayton County District Attorney’s Office.

The Sheriff ordered a signature bond courtesy for Walker. Walker has a felony probation warrant out of Fulton County for Cruelty to Children, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and a Failure to Appear warrant out of Hapeville which resulted in Magistrate Court denying him a bond.
