The Gnostics don't (well.. maybe I should say "didn't" instead) believe they can "be like God". Instead, what they (the sincere ones) believe is more like we're all pieces of "God" and we can only really regain the abilities we once lost (God-like abilities) once we realize we're all actually one being operating in a fractured capacity.

You have the wrong idea. We're the ETs. There's only really one "race" that's from here and we don't really resemble them anymore after our… "upgrades".

Along the lines of what you're touching on, humans were then capable of "speaking" without actually speaking. This is an "ability" we inherited from the "Annunaki".
