This is gut-wrentching, anons.

Whoever is responsible should be burned at the stake!

The local city councils & media should also pay a price because rather than warning folks about possible arsonists around where folks may have been more alert for suspicious individuals/groups, they claim 'wildfires'. Most people have no idea what's really happening.

32-count indictment returned against man accused of arson, criminal mischief in fire set in southern Oregon

https://www.oregonlive.com/crime/2020/09/32-count-indictment-returned-against-man-accused-of-arson-criminal-mischief-in-fire-set-in-southern-oregon.html

A 41-year-old man accused of lighting a fire near railroad tracks behind a home in Phoenix last week has been indicted on 32 criminal charges, including two counts of arson.

A Jackson County grand jury on Tuesday returned the indictment against Michael Jarrod Bakkela, charging him with two counts of first-degree arson, 15 counts of first-degree criminal mischief, 14 counts of recklessly endangering another and one count of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

Bakkela is accused of setting a fire in the area of Quail Lane and Barnum Drive on the night of Sept. 8 that damaged 15 properties, threatened the lives of 14 people in nearby neighborhoods between Phoenix and Medford and contributed to the Almeda fire that ravaged the area, according to the sheriff’s office.

Bakkela is being held on an enhanced bail of $5 million and is set to be arraigned on the indictment Wednesday in Jackson County Circuit Court, according to court records.

According to the county Sheriff’s Office, residents in the 1100 block of Quail Lane called 911 at 5:09 p.m. Sept. 8 to report that a man, later identified as Bakkela, was lighting a fire near the railroad tracks behind their home. A deputy took Bakkela into custody a short time later.

Detectives suspect Bakkela drove into a gated area, parked a vehicle, started a fire and then fled north before he was stopped, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Finally, a court that is not fucking around.

GOP Candidate For Washington Governor Claims Wildfires Are ‘Coordinated’ Arson

Loren Culp, the Republican challenging Democratic Gov. Jay Inslee, appears to echo right-wing conspiracists rather than official data.

Loren Culp, the Republican nominee running to unseat Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D), is pushing a conspiracy theory that many of the wildfires raging in the Pacific Northwest are the result of a coordinated arson campaign.

In a 13-minute campaign video posted to Culp’s YouTube late Wednesday, the gubernatorial candidate talks with two homeowners in a neighborhood that apparently was charred by the Cold Springs fire, near Omak.

“I know statewide there’s about 600,000 acres that have burned,” Culp said. “And a lot of them have apparently been set intentionally ― like this one. A couple people have been caught so far. Hopefully they investigate the heck out of this.”

“It’s something bigger,” one of the homeowners responded.

“To have that many fires set all over the state, it’s gotta be coordinated,” Culp added.

Good to see candidates/citizens are waking up.

As usual, HuffPo doesn't disappoint

262 suspects arrested, 5 children found during U.S. Marshals’ Operation Triple Beam in Oklahoma

https://www.wpxi.com/news/trending/262-suspects-arrested-5-children-found-during-us-marshals-operation-triple-beam-oklahoma/PXTWKGSQBZCQ5KN2MXXBGNTVJA/

OKLAHOMA CITY — Authorities in Oklahoma arrested more than 260 people and found five missing or endangered children in a recent investigation led by the U.S. Marshals Service, officials announced Thursday.

According to KOCO-TV, the two-month-long investigation, dubbed Operation Triple Beam, focused on Oklahoma City-area gang activity and involved several local and state law enforcement agencies. By the time the operation ended on Sept. 6, officials had arrested 262 suspects, including 141 confirmed to be involved in gangs, U.S. Marshals said. Their alleged crimes included homicide, assault, sexual assault, drug distribution, illegal firearm possession, arson and robbery, KOCO reported.

U.S. Marshals added that authorities seized about $17,000, as well as 9 kilograms of narcotics and 72 firearms during the investigation, according to KOCO. Officials also discovered five children who had been considered missing or endangered, authorities said.

This is more like it. The 1 or 2 individual arrests won't cut it.

Justice Dept.: Sedition charge may apply to protest violence

https://www.syracuse.com/us-news/2020/09/justice-dept-sedition-charge-may-apply-to-protest-violence.html

WASHINGTON (AP) — In a memo to U.S. attorneys Thursday obtained by The Associated Press, the Justice Department emphasized that federal prosecutors should aggressively go after demonstrators who cause violence — and even sedition charges could potentially apply.

The sedition statute doesn’t require proof of a plot to overthrow the government, the memo read. It instead could be used when a defendant tries to oppose the government’s authority by force.

The Trump administration’s crackdown on protest violence has already led to more than 300 arrests on federal crimes in the protests since the death of George Floyd. An AP analysis of the data shows that while many people are accused of violent crimes such as arson for hurling Molotov cocktails and burning police cars and assault for injuring law enforcement, others are not. That’s led to criticism that at least some arrests are a politically motivated effort to stymie demonstrations.

“The speed at which this whole thing was moved from state court to federal court is stunning and unbelievable,” said Charles Sunwabe, who represents an Erie, Pennsylvania, man accused of lighting a fire at a coffee shop after a May 30 protest. “It’s an attempt to intimidate these demonstrators and to silence them,” he said.

Poor peaceful protestors being intimidated into silence.

Muh narrative.

"They've arrested people for lighting forest fires up there," Rogan said on the latest episode of his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience while talking about Portland, Oregon. "They've arrested left-wing people for lighting these forest fires, air-quote 'activists.' This is also something that's not being widely reported, you know, that people have actually been arrested for lighting fires up there."

Maybe with the cancel culture targeting him, Rogan will finally pick a side!
