Presidential Message on the 73rd Birthday of the United State Air Force
On the 73rd birthday of the United States Air Force, I join our grateful Nation in celebrating the world’s most powerful flying force. As Commander in Chief, I salute all of the Airmen who defend our country and promote peace with unparalleled service and excellence.
The United States Air Force is instrumental in protecting the American people, advancing our Nation’s interests around the world, and ensuring that our country is a global leader in innovation and aviation. Airmen have spearheaded previously unthinkable advancements, including breaking the sound barrier, activating the Global Positioning System, and launching the first remotely piloted aircraft. True to its mission, our Air Force continues to fearlessly break new horizons in defense of our cherished American freedoms.
Since it was officially established in 1947, the Air Force has been a force for good at home and abroad. Overseas, our Airmen provide our Armed Forces in all domains with combat airpower, mobility, and superior intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance. Each day, they dutifully carry out their mission to serve and defend the American people with unwavering conviction. Whether deployed for combat operations, natural disasters, or safeguarding the homeland from threats, the Air Force protects our freedoms and secures the skies. Today, our Airmen are fighting abroad and playing a critical role at home in our fight against the coronavirus, delivering assistance to those in need from coast to coast.
The Air Force has ensured that the United States retained air superiority in all of our conflicts and missions since its founding 73 years ago. Today, we recognize all the men and women who serve as Airmen and who Fly, Fight, and Win. We thank all of our Nation’s service members and their families for their immeasurable service and sacrifice.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 18, 2020
Presidential Message on Rosh Hashanah, 2020
The First Lady and I wish our Jewish brothers and sisters Shana Tova and hope the millions observing this sacred day in America and around the world have a blessed start to the High Holy Days.
As this 10-day period of celebration, devout prayer, reflection, and repentance commences, we are reminded of how important faith, family, and fellowship are to each of us. Particularly during these challenging times, the sense of peace and reassurance that comes with these observances has never been more important in helping us seek His wisdom and understanding as we continue to grow in our faith.
This year’s High Holy Days come with a sense of optimism for the people of Israel, as my Administration continues to make great strides in securing a more stable, prosperous, and peaceful Middle East region. Last month, we secured a historic agreement between the United Arab Emirates and Israel—the first between Israel and a major Arab country since 1994—that normalizes relations between the two countries, including the exchange of embassies and ambassadors, as well as enhanced cooperation in a broad range of fields including education, healthcare, trade, and security. And, just days after Bahrain reached a similar deal with Israel, we were proud to host the leaders of Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain at the White House earlier this week for the signing of these agreements and the Abraham Accords as a whole. As the High Holy Days begin, this momentous milestone in geopolitical relations is a reminder that we can create a coalition of nations that have shared goals of
eliminating extremism and promoting security and prosperity, while also respecting religious freedom and building a more hopeful tomorrow for future generations.
Melania and I pray that He blesses all Jewish people throughout these High Holy Days. We hope that these 10 days provide those observing this special time a respite to build their faith and better experience the many blessings of the Almighty’s love and mercy.

fucking commies with our tax dollars at it again
A webinar event billed as “Whose Narratives? Gender, Justice, & Resistance: A conversation with Leila Khaled” is scheduled for September 23, 2020. San Francisco State University Professor Rabab Abdulhadi and Professor Tomomi Kinukawa are hosting the open classroom Internet event described as: “a historic roundtable conversation with Palestinian feminist, militant, and leader Leila Khaled, followed by Q&A discussion with students, activists, and scholars at 12:30-2:30 pm PST (3:30-5:30 pm New York, and 10:30pm-12:30 am in Palestine and Jordan).
While Leila Khaled is not a specially designated terrorist, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine is a designated organization – and Khaled is a member of the terrorist organization’s politburo. Because it is an online event, there are no issues related to her admissibility to the U.S. Khaled has spoken in Europe several times (including at an EU conference in Brussels in 2017), but was denied entry to Italy the same year.
In 2018, the co-chair of the Portland Democratic Socialists of America featured a famous photo of Khaled holding an AK-47 during the hijacking of TWA 840 on her Twitter banner and tweeted that, “Khaled never harmed a single human being”. She has recently tweeted support of Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and the Portland riots.
The event is also scheduled to feature South African politician Ronnie Kasrils. He was the country’s Minister of Intelligence, an executive committee member of the African National Congress, and a member of the Central Committee of South Africa’s Communist Party. He was previously an advisor to Hamas.
Another speaker at the event, Sekou Odinga, is a Black Panthers revolutionary who was convicted of six counts of attempted murder of a police officer and RICO charges related to his role in breaking a fellow Panther (who had been convicted of killing a New Jersey State Trooper) out of prison. He was paroled in 2014.
Former Weather Underground and SDS member Laura Whitehorn is also scheduled to participate. She was convicted for her role in the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Senate and sentenced to 20 years.
Event moderator Rahab Abdulhadi is a Professor and Director of the Arab and Muslim Ethnicities and Diasporas/Race and Resistance initiative at SFSU. She has an extremely long history of Palestinian/anti-Jewish activism, including establishing ties between SFSU and Hamas-affiliated universities. In 2014, she led a university-funded delegation of academics to the Middle East that met with Khaled and Sheikh Raed Salah, the leader of an organization that supports Hamas.
Co-sponsors of the event include the Marxist Workers World Party and leading BDS organization Al-Awda: The Palestinian Right to Return Coalition, which has called for the elimination of Israel and earlier this year had its GoFundMe account terminated on account of its anti-Semitic views.
SFSU President Lynn Mahoney seems to be a run-of-the-mill leftist academic. Previously, Mahoney was Provost and V.P. at California State University in Los Angeles and held various positions at CSU in Long Beach.
