This is so important. "Altered Genes, Twisted Truth" by Steven M. Druker was one of my first wake-up calls on the subject of genetic modification. Whenever "they" talk about "genetic diversity" etc. I think they are really referring to what they hope is "their" control of said diversity. Eugenics not just of humanity but the earth, maybe.
Vaccines already create mutations and alter human genetics via small fragments of aborted fetal DNA in many shots. Despite the hypothesis that this is harmless it has apparently been shown that this DNA is readily taken up by recipient stem cells and can result in blood cancers.
There is no reason whatsoever to believe that people who are not concerned about altering human genetics would be hesitant to alter the genetics of other species or to drive some to extinction.
