Of course they did, they don't taze the rioters though.

There is no law in Ohio that actually is enforceable for masks.

I know this because my band's manager got in an argument with a store manager here who had a sign on the door saying "wear a mask it's the law". Told store manager to call the cops. Cops came and made the store owner take down the sign. Why?? Because it's NOT a freakin' law.

While I agree with your sentiment, there IS NO OHIO LAW that requires a mask for anything. This cop arrested her for "breaking" a non-existent law. I would think that that is about as illegal of an action as it gets.

Mandates are NOT LAW. Who will arrest these officers?

Mask mandate not law

By Christopher Sodeman St. James Jul 25, 2020

Concerning Wednesday's mandate by Gov. Tim Walz for Minnesotans to wear masks, the "mandate" is not a law.

Similar to the "stay-at-home order" it is merely an executive order. The administration is calling it a mandate to make it sound mandatory.

Thanks to the U.S. Constitution, it is not possible for the governor to force you to wear a mask. For example, the same logic would apply if the governor didn't want you getting skin cancer and told everyone to wear a hat and long sleeves while outside.

What will be interesting to see is how many people go along with this request (yes, that is all it is) without questioning it or thinking for themselves. I would guess that the majority of people in this state will go along with it without questioning anything. That is scarier than the spread of any virus.
