The alternative would be much worse. These scenarios have been played over, and over, and over again with the current plan being the "less impactful". Persuasion instead of force. It's the policy of the entire administration.
Look how they handled NK.
Look how they handled Syria.
Look how they are handling Iran.
Look how they are handling China.
Look how they are handling Europe.
Same policy here. Don't use force until absolutely necessary. Motivate the people to stand and take back the power. Unity over division. In electing Trump, we didn't election someone that was going to use the military to quash violent dissent. We elected someone that understands rule of law, due process, and persuasion. It's why I keep telling folks to get on the ball and get recall elections going. Notice how the Feds sweep in and gets things quiet right after mayos/govs concede and ask for help? That's the legal way.
Yes, it costs innocent lives. Yes, the fear from COVID is indoctrination. What we're hanging on for is the promise these criminals will eventually get rounded up. All the families that have "lost loved ones to covid" will get their truth one day, and the distrust of the medical community from that point forward will force improvements in that regard. But in order for it to work, you have to play the long game. It has to make an impact.
We all get impatient, and hope to see this through to the end. We also need to keep reminding ourselves of the controlled, long lasting persuasion that's going on. These things take time.
