Who Won the Debate

The age old question. I think trying to declare a debate winner is a highly questionable art, particularly in an ideological one. In high-school debate, both speakers argue both sides of an issue.

To those watching, I would say it was a horse race

with no clear winner

When we go back an analyze after the fact, Trump the clear winner

He got Joe to say an unbelievable amount of stupid shit that he is going to have to backpedal on. Trump also clearly broke Joe early on. He was saying "you're a liar" and "will you just shut up."

I agree that Trump is known for saying stuff that is atypical of traditional kid glove politics, where "you, Mr. Senator, are no Jack Kennedy," is considered a haymaker, but Biden went straight to inartful name-calling.

Trump built a record there that he can easily defend, but he got Biden to build one that will be impossible to defend. He'll have no choice but to ignore, make excuses, and try to change the subject.

Which is all he's ever done anyway.

Neocons like David French, Marvin Olasky and Bill Kristol are always declaring themselves, and those they agree with, debate winners which fits in their pattern of being marxist liars, masquerading as "conservatives"

The non-punch that Twitter is trying to act like was landed on Trump was

muh white supremacy

First of all: Trump answered it properly with Chris interrupting by asking the same follow up as if it wasn't answered, the tape shows it.

Secondly, and more importantly, that whole exchange is Chris Wallace and Trump, Biden has no part in it.

If I were Trump, I would have brought Biden into it by saying: "Chris, I have condemned White Supremacy 100 times, I now do it for the 101st Time, next question. I do not subscribe to white supremacy in any respect, including the soft bigotry of low-expectations. I have never said that 'poor kids are just as smart as white kids,' nor did I attend the funeral of a KKK grand dragon."
