There is an old court case that involves a teacher name Eugene Ray Clegg from CASTLE ROCK, WA who taught at MERCER Island High School and was charged in Pakistan for gun running in 1982.

The acts on which Clegg claims to have relied include the following alleged event, occurrence of which Clegg proposes to prove at trial that Lieutenant Colonel DURHAM of the United States Army, second in command in Pakistan, informed Clegg that the United States supplied arms to Afghan rebels, and that the United States wanted Clegg to smuggle arms to the rebels.

Clegg’s defense required that CLASSIFIED information be DECLASSIFIED so that he could know what the gist of the charges were and how to properly defend himself.
