The Fracking Issue
Just an informational post.
We have been "Fracking" in the (oilfield) for years and years.
Most of the (Pump Jacks) you see as you drive by are pumping a well that has been: (Perforated) = "Fracked". (pick of Perforation tool)
(Perforation Tool) - Cylinder at the end drill stem or wireline, that has multiple holes w/ explosive plugs around the circumference.
Plugs blow out and (fracture) the surrounding formation.
And,
With or without (perforating) the well - drilling "mud" or other fluid solutions are pumped into the well to displace the oil or gas.
→ This is the process used to recover moar oil and gas still trapped in the geological formations.
(This is a very simplified description. So technical brained anons don't beat me up.)
→ We've been (Fracking / Perforating) forever in the oilfield.
Yes techniques have vastly advanced.
But the issue is far moar politicized, like other things, than it needs to be.
