THEORY
The Deep State plan was to infect Trump with the virus AFTER the election, and then remove him using the 25th Amendment– citing his incapacitation while "fighting for his life."
So Trump infected himself with the virus, knowing that he had already adequately prepared his immune system to combat it with the prior HCQ treatment, and thus triggering Pelosi to initiate the new impeachment proceedings BEFORE the election.
The optics of this impeachment attempt, so close to the election, are severely damaging for the Democrat Party. But it is the only chance they have, since Trump won't contract the virus a second time.

The reason I think that Trump infected himself, versus being infected by the DS, is the timing and sequence of events.
He went on Hannity and called for the prosecution of the traitors just hours before announcing the positive test results.
