March 31, 2017: As a result of Brennan's briefings back in Aug., 2016, and Dianne Feinstein having won her re-election in Nov. 2016, she gave up her co-chair on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, (SSCI) also headed by Richard Burr, passing her place to Senator Mark Warner in Jan. 2017. While Feinstein had been co-chair of the committee, her lead staffer Daniel Jones was the contact between Feinstein in her capacity on the committee and Fusion-GPS. After Feinstein stepped down, along with her staff,Jones continued paying Fusion-GPS for information towards the goal of impeaching Trump, as is evident with the following text messages between Jones's contact at FusionGPS and Warner and the liaison for Christopher Steele, lawyer and lobbyist Adam Waldman:

Warner: "We want to do this right private in London don't want to send letter yet cuz if we can't get agreement wud rather not have a paper trail"

Waldman, speaking about Steele: "That makes sense. Glad to keep trying to intermediate and see if I can convince him to speak w you directly. At the moment he seems spooked. No pun intended."

Warner: "Keep me informed also any news on ur other guy on manafort"

Waldman, talking about Deripaska: "My other guy, like Steele, very mistrustful of USG. He's been essentially shut out of the country and dragged through the mud. I explored this question w him last night in person."

Fall, 2017: The Anticorruption Action Centre (AntAC) spokesman In Ukraine saidSoros wrote a sizable check from his personal funds in fall 2017 to a new group, Democracy Integrity Project, started by a former FBI agent and Senate staffer Daniel Jonesto continue “investigation and research into foreign interference in American elections and European elections.” He said the group asked Soros not to divulge the size of his contribution, and that Soros only later learned his own group hired Fusion GPS, the same firm paid by Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic Party to create the infamous “Steele dossier” alleging Trump-Russia collusion.
