I fell asleep with my laptop open. I turned off the auto-sleep function, and it was also unplugged. The laptop's battery died overnight, of course. When I tried to boot it up in the morning, the operating system wouldn't load. It fell into something called a initramfs busybox shell (idk wtf dat is).
Using tablet, I googled every solution but I couldn't fix it. Had to reinstall linux. I didn't lose anything valuable; just some japanese porn and some pirated conan the barbarian novels.
Just a reminder to back up your shit somewhere else. an external drive, a cloud, anything.
