Most of the land in question is owned by the Crown Estate - it’s not the personal property of any monarch, but essentially an asset of the state. Were the UK (if it survives as a Union) to become a republic, the Crown lands would likely remain in a similar legal position as they are today - in trust for the state, (but not necessarily in trust for the nation.)
